Breaking Bad

The fact that I didn't want to see him go means the show had the exact effect on me it was intended to - but... DAMN! I was pissed! I just wanted to grab something and SQUEEEEEEZE the **** out of it! LOL!

He was probably my favorite character at this point in the show.

Cranston is doing a fantastic job as usual, but man do I just hate Walt's face now, ha ha. Screw redemption, I hope he just gets a fitting punishment for all this...

There are so many different moments when people start to hate Walt with the earliest moment probably being Jane's death.

Walt can poison all of the kids he wants but why did he have to kill Mike!

I have a feeling that Walt will do something even worse in the next episode.

Watching this last episode I'm a little surprised with how lax Walt is with how much Skyler sees/knows. Especially, given her open contempt she has for him now. It sort of conflicts with how anal Walt is with loose ends...doesn't it?

Yes, I know he didn't tell her what the chemical was, but she's no dummy. She know knows the name of the cover company and knows they're towing around a vast amount of some chemical necessary to the cooking process. Way too much for someone like her to know if you ask me.

First I would like to say that I'm goingt to miss mike a lot, he was a great character and I was sad to see him go last night.

Am I one of the few who doesn't hate Walter? With everyone he has killed I still find no fault with him doing it (okay maybe not Mike).

The two guys from the first episode, killed out of self preservation.

Jane, glad she's dead, money hungry and corrupting Jesse with worse drug habits then he had. At first meeting Walt used Jesse as a way into the meth market, then as the show progressed you could see that Walter looked at Jesse as a son. He saw Jane as trouble especially after their interaction regarding the money and when he saw he choking to death, knew it would be better for Jesse in the long run.

Gale, Walt didn't kill him but gave Jesse the go ahead to, again self preservation.

Gus, loved the character, hated to see him die. Killed off for self preservation as well as for power.

I enjoy seeing just how far Walt can Break Bad, my one hope is that he kills Skyler off, she is such an annoyance at this point.

So how do you think it will end?

I can only assume that Walt is going to die. Do you think it will be the return of cancer, or that Skylar, Jessie or even Hank kill him?

As long as it doesn't fade to black with Don't Stop Believin' playing in the background I'll be happy. :cool

OMG!!! Gets better and better! Finally finally finally he killed Mike - blaming him for all this "mess"? Who was the one with the legacy cost? Who was the one, who screwed Walt over and over again? Walt did the right thing. But he's wrong too - he's got too much power hungry, the money has corrupted him - from going to make 723.000 $ to 5 million… damn, he wants to swallow more than he can chew. But Jesse doesn't talk sense into him, Walt doesn't see he's heading towards to the wall with a too fast car.

I think this show will end somehow in the same vein as The Shield.

Vic was a character you rooted for even though he did bad things. In the end, he was free from his troubles, but he lost everything he really valued.

I hope Jesse makes it out alive, but I get the eerie feeling he won't.

God, this show is just so incredible, getting increasingly better every week. It sucked to see Mike go, I honestly didn't think Walt would be able to kill him, not like that anyways because Mike is always 2 steps ahead and he's really smart, but I can see how this time being with the DEA and his Gran daughter. That scene with him in the park looking at her on the swing and seeing all those police everywhere and the look of pure confliction on his face to get her or just go was so well executed, I felt for him having to make that hard choice and the thoughts running through his mind.

Say what you will about Walt, I love his character progress. I got really tired of the timid Walt, not really ballsy, I like this ruthless Walt who will stop at nothing to build his empire. He's a man with nothing to lose anymore, with a wife that hates him, kids he never gets to see anymore. I like the ruthlessness.

Whoa whoa whoa wait a second, lol...

I don't see how Mike is to blame for any of this. Since the first time we saw him, all he has done is clean up messes made by Walt. Whether Walt liked it or not - the legacy costs were absolutely necessary. If the men weren't paid they'd talk. If they talked, EVERYONE (not just Mike) would go to jail. And why were they in jail? Because Walt killed Gus. Whether that was justified or not, the blame certainly can't be put on Mike. And Walt didn't kill Mike for any reason other than the fact the he told him off and hurt his ego one too many times. He had nothing to gain from he being dead at that point. And he knew it - you could see the panic on his face during that last scene that he did something terrible. Guilt? Doubtful. Probably just scrambling in his head how to justify to either himself or anyone who might find out.

(BTW - I don't really think you're wrong - that's the great thing about this show - every character can be defended in some way or another. Just depends on who your favorites are :) )

I agree that it was a shame that Mike was eliminted by Walt over such a trivial ego-driven outburst. The man is not in control of himself the way that Mike was. Mike really was a strong person and a character you could almost admire. Walt, on the other hand, while well-educated and intelligent, is not a man with the temperment to be successful at being a crime boss for very long. He's too much of a hot-head.

Yes, Skylar seems like a pain in the ass, from Walt's perspective. But she is in the right and I kind of hope it is her that takes Walt out...her or maybe Walt Jr., protecting his mother and sister.
