Breaking Bad

Very tense episode - I was waiting for something to go wrong during the whole train robbery. By the time the kid on the bike showed up, I had completely forgotten about him in the opening scene - did a good job at surprising me.

I know we know Walt is no longer a good guy. But seeing him go from "crying about Skylar" to "stone faced cyber criminal" back to "reminiscing over pictures" was shocking.

Also, we also all know that Breaking Bad is one of the most oppressive, claustrophobic, stressful shows on TV. But not only does it make for great television, it makes for what seems like extra episodes.

Because while most great shows fly by and make you think "that was a fast 22/45/etc minutes", every episode of BB feels like a 3 hour miniseries.

What a tense ending, these guys really know how to make quality episodes. I can not wait for next week to see what happens.

What a great episode. I actually got stressed during the train sequence! I too forgot about the kid and was surprised to see it end the way it did. What Mike said earlier in the episode about trains only going 1 of 2 ways certainly impacted what happened to the kid.

My husband and I were wondering where that kid was going to come in to play at the beginning because sometimes the opening scenes are random... but when that kid was watching them after they were done... I was like oh no.... and then that guy just shot him! My mind couldn't comprehend what had just happened.... I stared at the t.v. open mouthed for about a minute...

WOWOWOWOW!!! They pulled off a Mission: Impossible… totally crass! Mike is to blame for all those nutjobs hired by him, he has poor judgment as to kill Lydia, the cutting the business proposal and whatnotsoever. I'd like to see him either busted by Hank or killed by Walt's hand. Poor Billy Blaze, eehhh… the boy, I wonder what he really saw… Todd may be good for the dirty work, but he's got no brain on handling those things. They could bribe the boy, that he saw nothing…

The preview is bada$$ - Walt is beyond redemption, beyond being the Walt we knew from the start… he's going to be the KING!

Wow, when they showed that kid at the beginning of the episode I had absolutely no idea how he was going to come into play. Like others have said, by the time the train heist had gone down I'd totally forgotten about him....I was in absolute shock when Todd pulled the trigger. That had to be one of the best episodes in the entire run of this series.

>a movie about a heist
>where the robbers bring a new guy
>who kills someone without permission
>which starts a chain of events
>that leads to the downfall of the main character

They are definitely making a lot of movie references this season - after we see Walt buying the big machine gun, we see him watching the scene in Scarface where he mows people down with a similar (or maybe even the same - I haven't checked) type of gun...

The Scarface gun is an M16 assault riffle with a grenade launcher attachment,

whereas Walt bought an M60 machine gun,

damn, this show is stressing me out! i can't tell if that is a good thing or not. i just hope that somehow jessie makes it out alive although, i imagine that won't happen. I suspect mike might... dunno we should get a pool going lol

It just broke my heart to see that kid shot at the end. I even felt sad for the spider. I've been feeling like Skyler has been over-reacting, up until that boy was killed. Then it hit me...she's really right to be that paranoid.

I wonder what's going on with the titles. My Tivo had the second to last episode of this half as "Everybody Wins". Then it got switched to "Say My Name" and "Everybody Wins" isn't listed as any of the titles anymore...

Holy hell, this is getting so good I almost can't take it. When this show ends I may never watch TV again....nothing is ever going to match it. Then again, I'm pretty sure I said that when The Sopranos ended. :unsure

By the way, Jesse at the dinner table was so funny I almost passed out laughing. :lol
