Breaking Bad

This last episode was very well done. Great editing, music, character development (with Lydia in particular), and great ending! Next year can't come quick enough!

WTH? I have to wait till next summer??!? NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

I agree that it was a shame that Mike was eliminted by Walt over such a trivial ego-driven outburst. The man is not in control of himself the way that Mike was. Mike really was a strong person and a character you could almost admire. Walt, on the other hand, while well-educated and intelligent, is not a man with the temperment to be successful at being a crime boss for very long. He's too much of a hot-head.

Yes, Skylar seems like a pain in the ass, from Walt's perspective. But she is in the right and I kind of hope it is her that takes Walt out...her or maybe Walt Jr., protecting his mother and sister.

Mike was screwing him over and over. I would have done the same. He was cutting a tremendous share of Walt…

I think Walt is telling the truth. I think he just found out the cancer is back. Perhaps he had an epiphany staring at the dented towel dispenser at the doctors office. All of his anger about his situation has been building since that point turning him into a monster, but now he knows he's certainly going to die. He almost lost all of the people he cared about while playing kingpin, but he met and exceeded his monetary goal, and now I think he genuinely wants to die in peace, surrounded by his family. We all know that's never going to happen though.

I believe he was telling the truth as well but it doesn't make sense how he could pull out so easily.

Keep in mind that three months passed during this episode - time to use up all the methylamine and sell it to the guys in Phoenix - be done with them if he wanted... give the ten pounds to Lydia, see what it yields, then pass on that. Of course, we all know it ISN'T the end - even with Hank on him now I'm sure there will be another more violent enemy...

I don't think Todd is smart enough to do it on his own. They kind of portrayed it as Walt still doing most of the work, even with his help. But who knows. It is rare to be able to successfully guess what it going to happen on this show.

The second look at the painting of the man leaving his family in the boat implies to me that his eventual travel to New Hampshire will be on his own, to keep his family safe.

In fact, this last episode had A LOT of season 2 references... which was also the last time Walt was dying from cancer. They made sure to show another doctor's visit without showing what the result was.

I'm still wondering how the year later diner scene fits in to all this. I wonder if Walt is on the lamb because of the DEA?

You're right, if you noticed when Todd helps him, he's very sloppy when he pours among other things, he isn't capable of doing things on his own.

This season has been incredible, just when I thought this show couldn't get any better. Without a doubt this show will be looked back on down the line as one of the best shows on TV. When they were all outside by the pool, I just kept waiting and waiting for something to happen, everything was just going to perfectly, and when I seen the end I was just like ****! I can't wait until it starts back up, things are going to be insane. I can see an all out war with the DEA, maybe Walt flies out to the Czech Republic to get away, so many possibilities.

I was telling my GF what great editing they did on this episode. LOVE the cinematography as a whole. Summer can't get here soon enough. This show is going in my collection next to the God Father , Sopranos, , Scarface, Casino, and Blow. :love

Todd not being smart enough had crossed my mind but then I thought maybe he got a lot better in the 3 months that have passed, there were a lot of cooks in that time.

I do believe Walt will be on his own in New Hampshire as well, we noticed in "Live Free or Die" that he wasn't wearing his wedding ring which he has yet to take off even with the separation and Skyler sleeping with Ted.

I loved the callback to the season 2 teasers with the garden hose and wind chimes.

Also in that scene with the wind chime, bug on the wall, hose, etc., Holly was wearing a pink shirt... just like something else from that scene...

I'm really interested to see how Hank proceeds from here - he really wants to catch whoever has been making the blue meth (and I dont think it being Walt would make him feel differently), HOWEVER - he would basically become a laughing stock if the man he was obsessed with catching for a year was right under his nose the whole time.
