Breaking Bad

Holy hell, this is getting so good I almost can't take it. When this show ends I may never watch TV again....nothing is ever going to match it. Then again, I'm pretty sure I said that when The Sopranos ended. :unsure

By the way, Jesse at the dinner table was so funny I almost passed out laughing. :lol

i agree with Jesse at the dinner table. I watched an interview with him about tonights episode some time after last weeks and he said s*^t was going to hit the fan on tonights episode....not to sure it was this one. maybe ep 7 "say my name?" the little teaser trailer sure makes it seem like something crazy could go down.

I wonder what's going on with the titles. My Tivo had the second to last episode of this half as "Everybody Wins". Then it got switched to "Say My Name" and "Everybody Wins" isn't listed as any of the titles anymore...

I have a feeling they changed the title of next week's episode because Walt say's "Everybody Wins" at the end of "Buy Out" and it might have confused some people when talking about episodes.

The last episode of part 1 is called "Gliding Over All" which is a Walt Whitman poem, maybe Hank finds Walt's poetry book and starts putting everything together.

That dinner scene was hillarious! Jesse had the best facial expressions and will make me think of that episode any time I have green beans now.

Walt's last line was just delivered perfectly. He really is an incredible actor.

Yeah poor Jesse, these awarkward silence and hinted things going on. I guess, Jesse is the only one here, who thinks straight. Mike is a *******! But helll, I wanna see what's next, they can't leave us hanging!!!

Just about the time I was thinking Todd might be a mole, the dirt bike kid showed up.

I have to say that during "Buy Out," I decided I no longer like WW. I liked the transformation from mild-mannered chemistry teacher to badass, but any sympathy I had for him is now gone.

It's definitely been Gilligan's goal to see how far he can go with Walter before people a) stop sympathizing with him b) stop liking him and c) start rooting against him.

If Gilligan isn't careful, it'll fire back at him. Protagonist should be indentifiable and likeable, not rooting against them.

Perhaps he will redeem himself in the end.

I think he will come good, but he's beyond redemption. How could anyone sympathise with Walt after the Season 4 finale?

It seems pretty clear to me that Jesse is the character that Giligan has increasingly been building sympathy for, and if any of the central characters gain some kind of redemption at the end, it will be him.

Hoping that Jesse and Hank survive intact . Walt's a goner.

Not necessarily. A protagonist should be interesting. I may have gone from liking to disliking WW, but it's still a compelling tale and I'll stick with it to see how it ends. If it ends with WW getting his well-deserved comeuppance, I'm good with that. And as likable as he may be, Jesse deserves some justice as well.

Anyway, what possible redemption could there be for WW? What could he do to make up for the things he's done and the people he's killed?

As soon as They showed the gun in that bag I knew Mike was a goner! If Jesse finds out that Walt killed him it's really gonna hit the fan.

Gah - that was probably the biggest emotional response this show has gotten from me thus far. What a scumbag. He took away everything Mike had then practically shot him in the back just cause he was pissed off. Walt is gone. The only way he can even partially redeem himself is to give up his own life for everyone else's sake. And even that is probably too little too late. Just like Jane, if Jesse ever finds out about this, he would kill Walt on the spot. Mike didn't even get to say goodbye to his granddaughter :(

We got the best of both worlds. We got a mini-stressful situation when Mike starts driving away as a loose end. And then a satisfying death for Mike. I love that he didn't keep walking / crawling to try to get to safety. Just sat down and waited.
