Breaking Bad

I took the whole 'flying too close to the sun' thing a warning to Jessie for telling Walt he should be happy with his 'lion's share' of the profits.

I think the Scarface reference is sort of a red herring. I think it's fairly obvious right now that Walt has done a 180 with his moral compass, but I'm secretly hoping he's still a decent guy in the long run.

I think Walt is too far gone to ever get back to the decent guy we saw when the show first started.

I loved Mike's line: "Just because you killed Jesse James, it don't make you Jesse James". :lol

Yeah, but wouldn't be pissed too, if Mike says one thing and does another? That's screwing over someone - time to dig him 6 feet under.

I believe Walts reference of Icarus at the end of the show was indeed about Mike not Jesse. Walt is not pissed at Jesse right now but pissed off at Mike for the "legacy cost." Mike right now is taking his own liberties to pay off these men that Walt thinks is pointless. I think there will eventually be some kind of show down between them both. The show was not big enough for Walt and Gus and now it wont be big enough for Walt and Mike. Maybe Walt will use the ricin he hid behind the electrical outlet?

I think the ricin has to be successfully used this time around, it has been made twice now and it has never actually been used.

I do think Mike will die and Todd will help with distribution, that is my opinion anyways.

Ricin 3 times unsuccessfully! Made for Tuco, Gus's dealers, and Gus himself! I think it would be fitting if Walt is the only one ending up dying of ricin poisoning...

The Icarus comment was definitely aimed at Mike. Reflects back on how Walt went apesh*t about the 'overheads' of Skinny Pete getting mugged in Season 2, which nearly resulted in Jesse's demise at the hands of psycho crackheads.

Many of the major screwups they have encountered have been down to Walt's greediness and ego, and will sureley lead to his downfall.

Oh right, Gus' dealers! I was only thinking about Walt making it and forgot about Jesse trying to kill them with it.

Good episode last night. I'm not a big fan of Skyler so I was a bit giddy when Walt laid the mental smack down and put her in her place. I can see she's going to be a problem, though so it'll be interesting to see how their relationship plays out.

German female voice: "… in certain areas it occured to some problems. Delivered units appeared twice or thrice…"
german male voice: "Mr. Lemminger, what's wrong there…?"
Mr. Lemminger: "I've talked to the tech support and Grossmann thinks we need a new software package. It could be worse, but could lead to delays within the complicated markets of one, two weeks."
male voice: "That would affect your North-American Sector Mrs. Rhodarte-Quayle… (you'll see Lydia's award beforehand in the close-up) Any ideas, how we could contain the damages? Lydia?"

Oh GOD, her german is awful… let's see if I can make any sense of these…

Lydia: "Our solution is a detour over a seldom (?) trans-shipment center. Recommend this revised offer. This is our only soultion for us all to keep our capacity up for this quarter."
male voice:"Then we've gotta do it. Mr. Lemminger, let Grossmann devise a plan for a more efficient shipment index before we turn over to the new software."
female voice:"I think, it's a good idea anyway…" too much noise to translate

Lydia returning to her office:
male voice:"…to concentrate to our obvious problems. These budgets were suggested from our department supervisors, checked by the advisory board and gave blessings by the accounting department. I can't go Mr. Fruch every week and say "I can't keep our target goal". Well, back to the preliminary estimates…"

Oh man, Hank head of the DEA… Walt is going to have him too close on his *****. Mike is problem, I'd like to see six feet under. Skylar needs to chill, Lydia needs to chill. The ticking of the watch - an allegory of Walt's time running up?

I still stick to my theory that Hank saw something on the laptop - maybe not Walt himself - but he was way too willing to just pass off the case to someone else after his continued obsession over the past four seasons - they keep making a point of showing him make expressions like he knows something he's not saying.

Skyler was so annoying this episode, I really do hope Walt deals with her soon. I think the easier solution would be him just moving out again.

Oh, I loved the beginning scene where they bought the new cars, that was great, if anyone wants to know what song that was playing because I was interested myself, I found it.

Anyone know what kinf of watch Jesse gave Walt?
Great episode sunday night. Skyler smoking in the house to try and bring his cancer back, ashing in a mug that says "51" on it. The mechanic also saying "free is good" just like the waitress did in episode 1. Kind of like Walt needs to realize that him being free should be good enough. And the ticking of the watch was great. Took it as walts time running out, or he (the time bomb mike referred to him as) is going to blow soon.
4 more episodes left for this first half, and I'm sure there will be something crazy to end the first half.

The watch is a TAG Heuer Monaco CAW2111 and it retails for $4500, it was identified by LukeM in the Breaking Bad Props thread.

The next episode is suppose to be one of the biggest that they have done according to either Cranston or Gilligan (I don't remember which one said it).

This show keeps me wanting more and more, most of the shows I watch don't give me that feeling anymore. I'm so excited for next week.
