Breaking Bad

You may be onto something there. Hank is obviously very astute so I don't think it will take much for him to put two & two together.

Mike has definitely been the character of interest this season so far. I have a suspicion about a plot point regarding Hank - I'll use a spoiler tag in the very off chance that I'm actually right:

Hank said he looked at the laptop before anyone else had the chance to but there was nothing to find. Then when he boss is talking about Gus being right under his nose the whole time, Hank has a look on his face like he knows exactly what he's talking about. Hank and Walt have also not yet been together this season. Could it be that Hank DID see something on the laptop (Walt???), but is - for whatever reason - not saying anything yet? Maybe he's torn on what he should do and is just waiting for someone else to find something so it's out of his hands... far fetched, I know... but ya never know...

I think that if he had seen Walter on the camera then he would have immediately confronted him. It could be that he was scrubbing through the footage quickly and saw Jesse (who was the last to be cooking for a long period of time) on the camera and is slowly connecting the dots back to Walt but is still unsure. Remember when he cornered Jesse in the RV and Walt faked a call telling Hank that his wife was in an accident, he still hasn't figured out how Jesse knew who his wife was.

If you really need your fix you can pay to watch by the episode on Amazon.

My mind is racing with so much speculation about which showdown will end the show, Walter/Hank Walter/Jesse Jesse/Hank. I think it has end with a mano-a-mano betwen one of those groups of characters with the one left out leaving the show physically and mentally damaged or dead.

The speculation about Walter Junior and Meth has bme convinced he is going to be a casualty in the show to really bring home to Walter at the end that regardless of his rationalizations he's been bringing poison and death to children.

I don't think Walter Junior would go into Meth, because he idolizes Hank in a lot of ways, it'd be an interesting twist on the show though. I wonder if Sal will ever crack though and get tired of Walter and tell Jesse about the poisoning thing. So many possibilities, I love this show.

Yes! The expression on Hank's face when the boss was talking. I couldn't tell if it was horror, a lightbulb going off or both.

Duh! Whoever made the poster is no Walter White… I'll never get what he meant with the big molecule structure, but it's not D-methamphetamin, he's got one H too much on NH2, which should be NH, one H atom less on the CH2 connecting the NH2.
I'll show the methylamphetamin skeletal structure is this:

I know, I know, the poster maker is no chemist, but at least he could use wikipedia? (It's a bit embarassing for a chemistry technician like me…)

I took it to mean that he's trying to justify taking out Mike. He talked about Victor taking liberties and that being why Gus killed him. Now he thinks Mike is taking too many liberties with money.

I know its exactly what they're going for, but damn do I hate Walt so far this season :lol

I would be very surprised to see Walt get the upper hand on Mike. But with the series nearing an end anything can happen...

I could also be seen a threat against Jesse for forcing Walt into a corner so he had to pay his share as well.

When Jesse was talking about cutting things off with Andrea and Walt cut him off I was so angry. Why can't you wait like 10 seconds and then say "I'm sorry to hear that, what did you think about that incident with Mike" but I guess they are trying to make you hate Walt more in every seen he's in.

Vince has said from the beginning that he wants Walt to become Scarface by the end of the series so it was interest to see him put the actual movie in.

It seems greed is getting the best of Walt now, that wont have a very good outcome, not when you get in the way of how Mike deals with things.

Didn't hank say that the laptop was encrypted though? I mean Gus doesn't strike me as the type of guy to leave his laptop running or have some basic password. And hank certainly isn't a computer hacker so there's no way hank could of seen something on the laptop.

Maybe hanks boss was actually in Gus's pocket?

Man, I feel sorry for the guy who had to find all of that fake money so they could shoot the scene where Mike basically prison rapes their stacks of money,
:lol

One thing I really love about this show is how much the writers can hide from us with so few characters. Some shows are so predictable you can see what they're planning before they do, but not with this show.

Obviously, without introducing more character we know Walt will either suffer a showdown with Jesse or Mike, or end up going up against the DEA. How that will play out is something we'll likely not see coming, which I really like given the amount of crap on TV these days :thumbsup

I think Walt and Junior watching Scarface could be foreshadowing Walt taking down many people with the M60.

That was exactly my thought - but still leaves the questions of who and why... or it could have been purposeful misleading by the writers. I remember in season 2, with the bear/explosion stuff, they kept throwing things in the season that could seem like they'd be the answer - like Walt installing the gas powered water heater by himself. Anybody think we'll see Gretchen and/or Elliot return for Walt's next birthday?

That is true, one of the best things about Breaking Bad is how unpredictable it is and they most likely won't use such an obvious ending.

I would like to see Gretchen and/or Elliot make an appearance before the end of the show, Walt has changed so much since he last spoke to them (especially Elliot).

I think the Scarface reference is sort of a red herring. I think it's fairly obvious right now that Walt has done a 180 with his moral compass, but I'm secretly hoping he's still a decent guy in the long run.
