Brass Hinges

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, but now that the Turkey has been finished it's time to get back to some prop making.

I'm looking for some Brass Hinges to finish of a Mark VII Tricorder, but I can't find any here in the UK. I was lucky enough to pick up a Mark VI kit second hand and that had square brass hinges in it, which I'm hoping to match as in the picture below.

I basically need another few pairs of these hinges.

Here's a quick picture to demonstrate dimensions.

If anyone has a few pairs or knows where to get them, I will be happy to pay you for them including shipping.

Fingers crossed and thanks.

Hi Contec, thanks but unfortunately I've tried, and I don't really have the tools to cut a brass piano hinge, I'm hoping someone can point me in the direction of these original hinges.
Anyone

I hope someone knows the source of the originals, cause that's a tough puppy
finding that size of hinge.....does it absolutely have to be that exact size?
I'm thinking most probably yes, but just throwing out here what I was able
and not able to find cause I already did the looking :)

Most hinges are higher than the are wide, and most of the ones I could find
that were wider than they are high had off-set holes.

Craft Inc. - 6050 3/4" x 1" Butt Hinge
This one 3/4" X 1" would be about 19mm X 25mm but the holes aren't like
your example.

Clock & Box Hinges - Horton Brasses Inc.
This one, PB-405, at 1 1/4" X 1" would be a too big at about 25mm X 32mm
if you have to have the exact size that's in your illustration.

Shylaah,
I really appreciate the help, but looking at the butt of the hinge there are 5 segments on the one in the link the TNG Tricorders had 4 segments.

They must be out there somewhere as Rodd.com is using them for their prop kits.

Well, I indicated the second hinge on the page the P-405.....I thought it had 4, but acutally a
closer look it appears to be two short segments and one long one in the middle?? Doesn't matter,
it was too big anyway.....

Yeah, out there somewhere..........elusive! I'll keep an eye out....
