Borg Lost Hunter - Finished 2/23

I got a P2 mask off of a friend a few weeks back and since I had three days off this week I figured I'd give it another go at painting. This being my third paint up I figured I'd try something hard and really out of my skill range. I have to say I'm happy with how it came out. However the same issue I had with my last mask also came into play with this one. I use monster makers paint on the mask and the teeth being resin I have hell trying to match the mandibles to the color of the mask.
I also have a set of skins that should be here soon. My aim is to have a full borg suit up and ready come mid October.

took a little longer then I thought it would, but he's done.

here is the skin I have painted up for my borg. I had a horrible time with the chest because I was unable to find a picture of borg without his armor so I went my own way.


THE ISSUES
As for the issue I'm having I'm not sure how to go about cutting the skin in order to put it on. The skin has the underwear sculpted on, my other issue also comes with the arms. PredHunter was nice enough to help me out with his method of adding the arms with velcro. however I wanted to see if anyone had any other way of adding the arms. any help and ideas would be welcome. thanks all!

 


8/7/13 test fit, I will need to foam the the torso it seems. I don't like the way it wrinkles up.

There seems to be a few Borg's pooping up lately, I was going to use the same paint up for my own suit, may have to try something a bit more different now though.

& Brain yes I'll be attempting to paint the suit the same color way.

I also think I may need to buy a Borg figure to help out since I had a horrible time getting pictures of him. This seems like my best bet as far as having something to reference.

Great looking Borg. For pics, google Neca Borg and it will give you some good ones. In the galary under Predator 2, there's a Borg section. I got a lot of Borg oics for my Borg build from these two areas.

thanks for the complements guys! I wish I had taken more pics during the painting process but as I had the free time and was on a roll I didn't even stop to think about taking pictures and just shot right along.
I will spend a lot more time with the skins and I'm also thinking about aiming for the armor Borg as well. I'll have to take it one step at a time and see where I end up going with him.
