Borderlands 2 : Corrosive Teapot

So: to go with my girlfriend's lunchbox Class Mod, for her Mechromancer cosplay, I'm working on some weapons.

Tiny Tina is almost as awesome as Gaige, so we decided to go with her personalised kit that she gives you for completing her quests.

This is one of the corrosive pistols she dishes out:

It's a mish-mash of various real-world gun-parts - So I'm using an H&K SOCOM Mk25 airsoft pistol as a starter:

( I do also have a Walther P99, as lots of features come from that also, but frakensteining the two wasn't really going to work all that well, so I'm scratchbuilding the bits that I can. )

The plan is to build up the front end with styrene and epoxy, sand it to shape, then wrap it in this adhesive vinyl I had printed up:

Here's how it looks at the moment :)

Currently waiting for the muzzle to dry, and fending my cat off. Seems she likes the smell of epoxy! :s

I'm looking forward to seeing this completed! This was one of my favorite guns in the game and Tiny Tina is a fantastic character.

I saw your lunchbox mod a while ago, and I know this gun will be just as good! Just being curious, Is the socom mk25 gas/c02 powered?

Thanks, guys :)!

And it's a Marui spring-powered SOCOM.
Raging, a bit of epoxy dripped into the trigger mech so it doesn't clicky properly anymore :( ( I've taken the actual barrel and cylinder assembly out for weight, as I need to ship it to Lauren. NOT risking a goatseing from customs when I go to the USA next! :\

phew, I'm so glad your only doing it to a spring gun. I originally thought it was a Umarex KWA gas pistol WITH trades and I almost cringed, thinking you had spread epoxy on a $300 gun. :eek

I own an Airsoft site, dude... And have been into it for the best part of 18 years.
So nah, I ain't gonna destroy a REALLY good gun.

That said, Marui springers are pretty bomb proof! Great sidearms :)

I thought so, I would love to go airsofting in scotland, everyone I know who does airsofting say that airsofting in scotland is WAY better than in England. When you finish your teapot, you should kick some ass with it on the field and quote hilarious things that tiny tina say. :lol

*Takes a bo-...*
Wait, perhaps not given the context. ;)

And nah, I gutted it, as I said.
HOWEVER, I might have some leftover vinyl, so... :)
Might Tina-up something else!

Decided to bulk up the front a little bot more, and have now installed the electronics :)

If I can find a wee switch in my bits-box, I'll wore one in, otherwise it'll be always on when the mag is attached ( Coz, y'know, that's where I'm putting the 9v battery that runs the lights :p )

Aaaand a few coats of paint, some messing about with epoxy resin, and a few blasts of a heatgun to shrink vinyl that's been fiddly-ly cut to shape...
Getting nearer to completion!

Currently grinding away the inside of the mag, and trying to solder the electronics together... Accidentally melted my switch to death so need another!
