Blue Beetle *WIP*

Yeah, with the newer Young Justice giving some good life to a cool character, I am liking this build...great job so far.

For some good breathing there are a couple things you could do... first in the tv series he does have a mouth, so you could technically choose one emotion to use for a static mount, but I am thinking just having that little straight mouth line you have there already looks great, so you could just cut an all the way through slit in the horizontal line for a little air there, and then under the chin of the mask where no one would see anything anyway you can add quite a few cleanly arranged holes to add even more breathing and talking airways.
I'm sure there are some other covert ways to add some air access without really messing with that clean front face you got going there so far...

I got side tracked when BSD released his Mark 40 files..... EyeofSauron had this concept a long time ago.....

That blue beetle costume is great keep up the good work I can not wait to see this when it is done.

I have no clue who Blue Beetle is but in a sea of Iron Man and Spiderman this thread jumped out at me as something different and caught my interest. And while I may not know the character I definitely recognize the awesomeness going into this build!!! Definitely can't wait to see this finished! I love seeing unique costumes and builds!

Thank you all for the comments...coming from a lot of great prop and costume makers really makes it worth posting this stuff. Got Iron Bats back done so I decided to at least paint BB torso today. I'm going to start the shins this week and try to finish the core before detailing and lights.

Well...here's a test fit without doing the feet yet. Still a lot of adjustments to make, 2nd coat of paint and clear, and holes for AIR...............

thats pretty boss.

what i would do is use foamies to pattern over the flat wetsuit.

attach it with velcro or something :)
just enough to have a bit of texture and hide the zipper

Very nice work! I always liked the Blue Beetle and wondered why nobody ever tried building him..
I don't know if he is a character that people want to get after...I did though!
words just cannot describe how much I love this thing !! its coming out better then I imagined
Thanks Nytefall. It's all in the blue paint.....since I have used this color on every suit I've done....
Looks incredible, man. Keep up the good work; we all can't wait for this to be finished.
I don't really have a deadline yet to finish so I'm probably going to jump to the Iron Bat for a bit.... as long as you subscribed I will be working on this in a in a while...just not for a couple weeks.

You sir are a freakin genius! I could just 'V' to cover it up and layer it like the actual BB.... Thank you very much for the input!
That looks AWESOME! Great work. Wolf
Thanks! I hope people like it when I get it out and about.
hahahaha i recognise those legs!! =D
In the words of my daughter "I know right?!" Surely we can mix these templates to make so many other characters with armor.
looking stellar!
Thank you!
This is looking FABULOUS! Great to see someone tackle Jaime, and do it so well :thumbsup
Thank you very much!

I still have to than JFcustom for his multi-cowl and unfolding and modifying the templates. He helped give it all a little bit of an organic feel. Thanks again for all the Blue Beetle appreciation!
