Blade Runner Inspired Office Build: Deckard's Apartment

Engineered a way for the keycard to make the unlocking “click and beep” sound effect. I ripped the sound off the film and cleaned up the background noise in Adobe Audition then added it to this little push button sound module
Then 3d modeled a housing for it that is pretty small and low profile. It's mounted to the back of the door where an electric deadbolt would be so it looks the part
I printed a button extension that goes through the door and into the slot I cut. So the card presses the button and plays the sound when inserted. I tested it out and it works really well so I’m going to print a final version and permanently mount it.

Yesterday my good buddy scottjua stopped by for a visit. Not only is he super talented and knowledgeable regarding all things Star Wars props but he’s also an excellent photographer! He came by the house to check out the office and take some glamour shots! Can’t wait to see how they turn out!
