Blade Runner Inspired Office Build: Deckard's Apartment

Oh I see.
I most likely went to edit that post to clarify how I planned to attach the tiles and inadvertently removed part of the text when cleaning up the photos.
As far as I know, he still offers them. Minimum QTY is 4 for $140. so they're about $60 each.
His website seems its in a bit of disrepair so I assumed he was no longer doing it, I could be wrong tho.

WOW! I spent the better part of my Saturday last weekend reading through this entire thread, lol. To say what you did is impressive is seriously an understatement! To see all the months of planning, research and effort you put into that space is truly inspiring! And your dedication to scouring the interweb to source all those accurate items and little knick-knacks seen in Deckard's apartment is next level.

I can only imagine what it must be like to be able to sit INSIDE that space and quite literally immerse yourself in the world of Blade Runner, especially with all the interactivity you built into it. Man, what an experience it would be to just sit in there for even 15 minutes and enjoy a whiskey on the rocks listening to the rain :D You must be so proud, and if you aren't you most certainly should be! My hat's off to you, sir!

Trooper_trent - thank you for sharing the video. Such a great atmosphere - the door came out perfect!

Agreed! The door looks amazing, the perfect last touch to it all.

So I randomly had the idea to see if I could replicate the effect shown on the "BeoScreen" prop at the end of the film when Deckard comes to get Rachael and doesn't know if she's alive. What is normally just a clear screen with fresnel lenses throughout the film, has two TV monitors turned sideways, positioned behind it with a weird looped image of what looks like maybe something under a microscope. The two images loop in opposite directions and at different speeds.

I recreated the image and made an animated looping clip to mimic the look of the effect. I then projected it onto the screen with a small video projector. I still need to play with it to get the positioning correct and figure out how to add it to my office animations so it comes on automatically when I want it to, But I thought the end result was pretty cool.

Outstanding! It really adds to the room's ambiance! How are you feeding the video to the projector? Is it self contained?
