Limited Run BLADE RUNNER 2049: Officer K (Ryan Gosling) Jacket/Coat - NOW SELLING

Yep, total length from the bottom of the collar to the bottom of the coat will be one of the custom measurements asked for.

Incredible. Seems you've already thought of pretty much anything we can throw at you :D

OK I did it... ordered on Etsy! I love the look of that coating option you posted... it gets my vote. Great work here, Zlurpo!

BTW, the buy link in your first post doesn't work for everyone because page length here is configurable by user. :)

For the benefit of Hall86 and others interested, there are ~6 spots left in the first run at this point.

Sorry Zlurpo - I meant the fur lining.
Ah. Well I although I will wait until I see it dyed, I am leaning toward the new fur. I'm almost certain it's more accurate. The fur on the sample is not curly, it's just short with the very ends curled over. Going over it with a brush or comb does nothing to lengthen it or make it look more like the movie fur, it just makes it look fuzzy and still too short. Again, not positive yet though.

Here's the fur dyed darker.

Okay, feedback:

Looks good, though comparing the two samples, I'd say it looks slightly closer without the dye (I know I probably should've mentioned this before you went and dyed it).

It almost has a 'washed out' look, like a sandy brown color. I'm also reminding myself that the darker bits are most likely the result of weathering with polish etc, so it's probably pretty light without that on top.

As for the texture and length though, I'm confident I could weather this to look pretty exact.

That looks nice! I might go a tad more "grey" but going with this slightly longer makes sense. One thing to keep in mind is that for folks that might want it shorter (if you keep this new fur), they can always use an electric hair trimmer to shorten it a little if they really want to.

I really prefer this longer version. I think it looks more accurate, and more importantly, I think it just looks better as a form of clothing. Thanks for taking the time to sort through the different options, and for keeping us updated!

Agreed. It's always better to have more to work with in weathering & matching than to have less than you need.
