Limited Run BLADE RUNNER 2049: Officer K (Ryan Gosling) Jacket/Coat - NOW SELLING

Gonna hold out until I see some in-hand. Looks like there are still a couple of things still up in the air.

Ah. Well I although I will wait until I see it dyed, I am leaning toward the new fur. I'm almost certain it's more accurate. The fur on the sample is not curly, it's just short with the very ends curled over. Going over it with a brush or comb does nothing to lengthen it or make it look more like the movie fur, it just makes it look fuzzy and still too short. Again, not positive yet though.

I agree that the new fur looks more accurate, but what I want to know is how it feels to the touch? Someone mentioned a few pages back that "shaggy" faux-fur like this can be kind of scratchy, whereas the curled-style faux-fur is usually pretty comfy. Assuming you've held the new fur in-hand, are you confident that it'll be as comfortable around one's neck as the original style of fur?

Also, for what it's worth--I think the darker-dyed fur is a bit too "warm" in tone. It skews reddish-orange, where I think it should skew a bit more olive-brown.

You are welcome to do so, but there is a real chance the second run will be full by the time the first run is delivered.

This is a good point. While I am all for accuracy I don't think I would opt for that direction if it means sacrificing comfort. I realize costumes aren't always "comfortable" but the reason I really liked the idea of owning this coat was that it could be used in a practical way.

Same. I'm buying this because I want a coat, not because I want a costume.

While I want it to be functional and comfortable, I think i'm the opposite. Comfort comes second to accuracy.

But then if it's as well made as it looks, I'm sure it'll tick both boxes and please everyone. Can't really see this fur being too scratchy as it's faux stuff.

Me too! I am terrified of the final outcome now. On one hand I would like it to be accurate but my order was based on the pictures of Nate in his coat. This one I like for sure.

I was under the impression the only things changing now would be the length of fur and the coating? You could trim and remodel the fur and i'm sure you could opt out of the coating. Nothing to worry about.

Oh God, no. I am done with a handwork and self adjusting. I have been there, I have done all that. I'd just love to be able to opt for the coat I saw on the pictures and ordered because of them. The length, the color... - I do not want a surprise that will stay in the closet forever. Unless we see the pictures before actual proceeding. That is just too damn risky...

I'm sure there will be more pictures coming with final additions before the jacket is finalized. Best to check with Zlurpo

Lol the look of the coat will change very little. This is a real coat, not just a costume piece. Changes at this point will be tiny details, the biggest of which by a fair margin will be the switch to the longer fur.

The fur is making this coat. You may easly go from "original look" to "your mom's wardrobe" with the firefox around your neck... I am keeping my fingers crossed as I realise you aim at perfection but I am not for surprises.

Just positing a slight inverse position - i'm all for changes to the coat if they result in a closer-to-screen end result (re: fur/coating/minor changes). not trying to stir anything, just my thoughts concerning my $$ on the table. trust in ya, zlurpo.

Would much rather go for accuracy, I think that new fur looks very good. Complete faith in any changes from Zlurpo.

For those who ordered the custom size in the first run, you should now have an email with the link to fill out your custom sizes, with a guide on how to take the measurements!

Just to clarify, it is now recommended we measure over a tight fitting shirt? I thought it was supposed to be over a jacket/coat.

It's confusing, but for the regular sizes, measure over a jacket. For the custom size, it's better to have body/tight shirt measurements.
