Just curious what process the silicon was applied by. Was it a brush on/spray on?

Also have you tried putting water droplets on it to see if it beads on top of the coating or is there still some degree of absorption? Not critical, just curious

I think the application was thinning it with paint thinner, then brushing it on. Still not sure if this will be used or not, my guy said it didn't go on very easily.

It's pretty water repellent, probably more than in the movie (there's shots that clearly show it absorbing water in the movie).

I'm 6'2" and slender, I don't think this coat fits into the normal size chart since it was made to my measurements. Probably like.. a Medium Long.

Thicker liner can be added. I don't know any more details like how thick or what the cost will be yet.

Just placed my order. I've never bought anything like this before. I've never considered buying clothing or costuming of this quality, much less this price range. The most I've spent on a costume accessory is $50 and only on Halloween. So this is a big deal for me. :lol

I just ordered as well! i really like the silicone coating and hopefully will be applied. I think having that over the lettering will really keep the stealthy feel and add that sheen seen on the original. Very nice work Zlurpo! I am 6’ 4” and ordered XL. Will have mine lengthened to 44”. Can’t wait to see what the final decision is on the fur and coating!

I don't know what sizes fit what build. Take measurements and follow the size chart!

Great to see you still pushing for accuracy Zlurpo - quality effort!

I really like the longer fur too. Is that definitely happening? I personally would prefer it longer than shorter, as it can always be trimmed back - and the original looks like it's an inch thick in the film.

The coating looks great too!

Is that variable factored into the measurements?

So if you order a custom size, for example, and you happen to be 6ft 5" or something, can you measure down to the knee or below to get an accurate length?

What about the lining? That it's a satin look instead of a matte look? That's just the sample, the production will have a flat black lining, probably with just a bit more fill to it.

Yep, total length from the bottom of the collar to the bottom of the coat will be one of the custom measurements asked for.

It looks good but doesn't look long enough on you.

It needs another 4 inches, really. That'll be the standard in the run. Ok maybe not 4, but at least 2.
