Hi, sorry for the late reply, it took a while to remember my password. for the spring, i used a 200mm 4.5mm OD extension spring from ebay,:

You may well have met me at the RS Props party in 2018 or 2019. I was their with my friend Ray who troops in their ANH armour . I think in 2018 I brought my K's badge wallet and Rob ran round everybody showing it lighting up. In 2019 si commissioned me to build a pair of the waltets for him and Rob as a surprise.

Just a quick thought.... Is anyone taking all of this wonderful info, the files/parts and making them into a complete holster that people can buy /already done? Some of us do not (yet) have a 3d printer, but do have construction skills. If there was a kit of the premade modified parts (the holster 'hard parts'), I am sure people would buy it. Myself included.

I've got a couple Safariland 1001 to make patterns for Deckard and Bryant's Holsters, I have the black Safariland holster that the Police had on their belt and the 1090 holster as well, I've been planning on 3d modeling the holster but I haven't been satisfied with the previous pictures of the holster, but since the auction has more than enough pictures, I might finally get around to working on it. If I made a kit, it wouldn't be printed, I'd go for casting in a more durable material, similar material properties to the safariland hopefully. I wouldn't be surprised if someone beats me to it though.

While I'm certainly not going to beat you to it, I am also working on something like that. I have new materials on the way, but this was the prototype.

I need some help finding the fabric, it's not ripstop nylon but rather 3 layer cold laminated pvc tarpaulin fabric, but I can't find any available to the public, it seems it's main use if for the fabric covering of ventilation pipes. The only listing I found with a close match was this:

Has anyone figured out what the suspender clips actually fasten to on his pants? This is the only image I've been able to find showing it at all, and it's not very clear beyond that it doesn't look like it's the waistband because you can see the front pocket extending above the point where the clip is attached:

I thought it could have been a coin/watch pocket, but those are usually not inside the main pocket on chino-style pants, and we know that he's wearing Rag & Bone Fit 2 chinos and there's nothing there for the clip to grab onto. Perhaps they sewed on an extra bit of fabric there?

When I've worn my 1090, I've just clipped to the waist band of my pants in the same manner as clip on suspenders.

That's what makes the most sense, it just doesn't look like that's how he's wearing it in that image. That would've also made the waistband of the sweater ride up on the sides and I don't remember it doing that either (but of course I'm having trouble finding any images).

What about this though? I'm 99% sure the entire part traced in red here is the pocket, and if it is then the waistband would have to be about where the dotted blue line is:
