I'm holding out for hope as well. As far as runs go, I've not been impressed by the communication. I'm not happy that Brandon wouldn't tell me how far along he is.

It's been a long haul that is for sure. However Brandon has shown alot of the work he has done. He showed the stacks and stacks of pewter ingots he bought for this as well as most of his mold-making and pouring the various parts. My assumption is that he is done pouring the parts, ran into some problems printing the resin 'grill inserts' and getting the circuit back from China has been slow. I do believe, based on what I see, that he honestly has intentions of completing this project. We have no other option than to be supportive. Doing the carbon-fiber grips is NOT an easy task. It will require practice and he probably will not start on the real grips until he is able to be sure they can come out perfect. It would not be easy to remove and re-do that step.

There is another run - metal EE3 blasters that is also very delinquent. Joining these runs always involves some "risk." My suggestion to anyone who is paying by Paypal, that is get confirmation that you can receive delivery of the finished project within 6 months. Outside of that, one has no Paypal claim. The deposit, the money, the prop, is lost.

For my part, I think Brandon is an honest and talented guy. His mold making abilities are stellar. These things are not that easy to do. He ruined his kitchen pouring our pewter parts for this run. In the end, I think he probably will lose money on the whole thing. For my part, I am completely behind him and his efforts. :)

On the good side, if he is home (he should be), and healthy (I pray that he and everyone is) then he should be able to make good progress on shining up the pewter parts and working on the grips while he waits for the circuits from China. The one question I have is- what is the size of this run? Does anyone know? I can't seem to find an organized sign up list like for some other runs.

Keep safe everyone!!

I've been very trusting of Brandomack, love his work so far, and love the videos. I know everyone is getting jittery here, but I'm pretty sure he'll come through for us. I'm paid in full too.

It would be nice if he would chime in here, earlier he even mentioned he thought he would have some blasters done by the end of the month. If anybody wants my spot, it's yours.

I think he’ll deliver eventually and would like to know the run size also. I bought someone’s spot late last year

I am wondering why some many long standing members are selling their spots for this run.
Especially since the blaster construction is supposed to be almost complete.

What's going on here guys?
Do you think that this run will never be completed and are you trying to cover your bases by selling your spots?

If you have any further information please share with us all.

If you are around here please let us know what is happening.

I can only repeat what I've already stated. It's a matter of priorities for me. I need the funds for other projects. That's all.

I understand that this project has a longer runtime than expected. But that's often the case. In that time other projects have taken shape for me.

But these things are like an avalanche. One person sells his spot, then two, then three. That's how it goes with projects that exceed deadline. Some people just get tired of waiting, some loose faith, some get frustrated etc. etc.

I don't have any more information to share.

I still have confidence that these blasters will eventually be delivered.

Hi everyone. Sorry for the radio silence. I’ve been wiped out energy wise due to this worldwide crap storm and currently under quarantine - but am still working each day on the blasters.

i have fully etched, primed and base coated my first batch of grips. I feel strong enough today to lay up carbon fibre.

my first attempt left me with unsatisfactory results and i was required to melt the grips back down.

This is where we are currently at..

Financially, i am fully committed to the run, and am currently waiting on a paycheque coming from Batwoman to pay the balance to china for the boards.

Here is the current budget, conservatively, in case there are any questions.

Pewter Ingots (300lbs) $6000
3D modeling $1000
3D printing of master $1500
Silicone $3000
Vacuum Pot $250
Shapeways print of grilles $300
FDM printer and filament $300
(for sole purpose of solenoid holder)
Resin printer and resin $400
(for sole purpose of grilles)
Solenoids $400
9V batteries $300
Electrical Components $300
Electrical Engineering of Board $2000
Electrical Engineering of Board $1000
Prototype test batch of 6 boards $1000
Chavant NSP medium clay $600
Sprue Wax $200
Sanding equipment $325
Band saw $50
Shop supplies $500
Hot Glue $100
Tape - foil and masking $120
Cardboard Boxes for shipping $130
(stir sticks, mixing cups, nitrile gloves, dust masks, sandpaper)
West System Epoxy and Carbon Fibre $400
Paypal expenses $2000
Blow torch $100
Propane Burner $200
Black Lacquer Paint $300
Primer $150
Reference Expenses $400
Transport expenses $1000
(Fuel, insurance, etc for material purchase)

As stated above, this is a conservative estimate that doesn’t include absolutely every cost that has been incurred. I’m not asking for more money, as its on me to make good on my terms and request the remainder plus shipping at the time of delivery.

I’m not willing to ship out a substandard product, and am still working through various processes to obtain the best result.

These will ship, and i will stand by these products, however I can’t give you a hard date on when the full run will be completed as there are still very large variables preventing me from doing so.

Make no mistake about my commitment to this run. I sacrificed my marriage and home to see this project through, and haven’t been sharing with anyone how absolutely soul-crushing it has been. This is a business, and i can’t use my personal life as any excuse, however it still effects the end result.

I am still working on this project every day, and every day gets me closer to the finish line. There is nothing impossible to do in this run, there is just things that still need to be experimented with for optimal result.

Short of the circuit boards, and any potential incidentals, i have absolutely everything i need to complete this run, and will be doing so.

Thanks for the heads up Brandon. I am in until I get this Artisan master piece. Yes run taking longer than expected. I know folks have l legit reasons for selling their spot.

Thanks Brandon- this is a huge project!! I knew doing the carbon fiber is real tough but having to melt down grips and repour them - wow!! Funny how the PayPal expenses are one of the most expensive items :(. I really do think that this prop, for the lucky ones who get to have one, will be the standout piece in some already amazing prop collections. Keep well!!
