It should be TFA style as that's how he looks on the Phasma novel cover, which takes place years before the sequels. The novel was released as part of the build up to TLJ though.

Speak for yourself, Halliwax -- I'm still waiting on my ANOVOS FOTK kit+helmet, and was already annoyed they'd shifted without fanfare from TFA to TLJ. If there is a forthcoming Black Series FOTK, I am hoping it's TFA and not TLJ -- especially if they do a Cardinal repaint. If it is, and accurate, I'll be that much closer to my Cardinal costume. Pretty much down to just needing the armor.
 
That's interesting about the Cardinal FO helmet. I sure hope it's true. It's interesting that the article mentions "select" Target locations and then mentions products from Galaxy's Edge and that makes me wonder three things... Are the "select" Target locations the ones with the Disney Store attached to it and none of the others? And will the Cardinal helmet or other Black Series FO helmets also be sold at Galaxy's Edge? If you don't have a Target with a Disney Store located near you, will Galaxy's Edge be your only other option?
 
There's a rumor now that they are releasing a First Order Trooper helmet. I guess it's only a matter of time if they're doing Captain Cardinal.
 
Perhaps they can’t do a FOTK because it would conflict with other licenses...? So make the Cardinal helmet instead...?

I would get one and just repaint it.

I thought the cardinal was a repaint of the Phasma helmet.. which IIRC hs the same as te trooper with some extra plating on it... but I freely admit I'm not a bucket expert.

Here's the Black Series action figure for reference. They used the TLJ helmet for the figure, so I'm assuming now that the replica will also be TLJ.

Supposedly a generic FOTK helmet is coming out but so far that's just a rumor, and whether it will come out before, after or during the release of the Cardinal helmet is anyone's guess. There's still pretty much no information on the Cardinal helmet.
 
I don't think it will be the next helmet but I've been holding off on maybe buying a 3rd party Mandalorian helmet because based on how popular the show is with SW fans I've gotta think Hasbro is working on one and planning a future release.
