So yesterday, after 3 calls to Best Buy customer service, with an hour & a half wait time, so I had them call back, & 2 disconnections, I finally got a rep to look into my order. It's been saying "Getting it ready" since the 17th, but as others have said, it's still showing as arriving by Friday.
Rep assures me that it's packed, labeled, & ready to go. Just waiting for the carrier to pick it up. As of now, it's had no change to anything. I guess I'll just have to wait until Friday & just see what happens.
It's just more infuriating because the other reps were insinuating that it was because of when I ordered it, others may be delivered sooner. I ordered this thing last year on July the 22nd, first day available.

Well, they didn't give a *specific date* for shipping, but they did say:
"Note, there may be a slight delay in shipping. We appreciate your understanding and patience, but do keep an eye out for your shipping confirmation email!"
So they might be shipping soon.

Got my helmet! It is a bit darker than I expected, but I noticed something cool. They clearly left enough space under the vent for the calculator board and even made the piece under it easy to remove.
They also kept this sculpted detail from the original. That sloped section just above the red band.

Yeah, I just got shipping info from Best Buy and it will be here Tuesday, despite saying for weeks it would be here by Friday. Not using BB again. They're a customer service nightmare.
I usually have good experiences with them & use them a lot, but this last year, I've had really confusing stiff happen with them.
Stuff like getting notified that items would be delayed or outright cancelled, then have them show up the next day. Other times, I've placed orders one day, had them be delivered the very next day, then get a shipping notification that night.
I just ordered from them because I had a fair amount of points to bring down my total cost.
EDIT: At 2:30 I got the email that it's finally shipped. The UPS tracking info isn't showing yet, but BB is saying a Friday delivery.

I've got 13" along the side of the helmet, though the front of the helmet does go a little lower. It fits nicely in my Detolf display case from IKEA

Just got my UPS Tracking#. Coming from OH to NC & still says by Friday. It's my son's SUUUUPPPEEEERRRR late birthday present, so we're both excited. Lol
$97? Nice, hope my Walmart puts them out for that. That $20 has been the only thing causing me to hesitate on this.
EDIT: and now my Walmart is showing out of stock.

Min arrived from Game Stop today. Ordered last week with a discount they had running. It's a nice size. Removed the "hard-hat" straps inside so it would fit properly. It will need some additional padding to keep it in place. All in all - Not bad for $100.

For those who have removed the hard hat harness, does it just pop out from the swivel points? Or was disassembly necessary?
