Black Series Boba Fett Helmet Announced

Mine arrived today. The killstripes are indeed angled so they're higher at the front of the helmet than back. Honestly it's not worth a return to me, I wouldn't have even noticed or cared if I hadn't just read the last few posts. The rest of the helmet looks fine to me.

I. Ought

I actually bought one from the picture I posted. I have been on a hunt for the retro figures displayed with the helmet.

Still doesn’t bother me, I’ll get it when I get it

A Lot scary things happening in this world right now then worrying about my fett helmet

Seeing how toilet paper is more valuable then our helmets. I'd say you're spot on.

Yeah, I'm still holding off on running out to Walmart (or anything other store) in the current state of things. As much as I've had the urge, I can't justify it for something like this.

100% appreciate you looking at it this way. There’s not going to be a shortage of these and it’s not even like you can show it off to anyone other than in pics! Could just download someone else’s pics and pretend they are your own! ;)

Being in Canada we seldom get stuff like this early or sometimes at all ha ha!

got my helmet today from Gamestop.
the kill stripes on mine are also going down towards the rear. I think all helmets have this issue. Does bother me, but can be over looked.
Just hope Hasbro fixes this issue with newer helmets made. And I wont mind buying another helmet, since will use the original for custom.
I paid about $113shipped but even at $120 plus tax the helmet is worth it
you get a complex paint job
light up range finder
detailed insider interior, which is a bonus for me cause I will display the helmet and not use it.
and a well constructed plastic helmet that feels very sturdy
overall, well worth the retail price.

Warning, my visor gets scratches or markings easy, be carefull. And my blinking red light was not working at first, then it worked, but now its not working. WIll try to fix it.

I just wish there was some consistency in Walmart’s stocking. Some stores have ‘em out and others don’t. I ordered through Best Buy and it’s supposed to arrive by Friday. I hope so. Need a little lift this week.

My Best Buy looks like a quarantine zone in a zombie movie right now.

It’s here!

Got mine the other day from GameStop. I'll echo what most have said here that it is a good helmet for the $$. The fact that the measurements on it are so similar to the EFX version reassures me that sanitized or not, at its core there's lineage

Luckily my kill stripes seem to have proper placement, though they do look a bit dull. In fact that leads me to my first gripe/complaint/concern/quibble...
The colors are dull. It's not as noticeable until I have it next to one of my other helmets. The best name for it would be "Noir Fett".

Next point, no MQ-1 circuit board. A lot of positive reviews have stated the omission is no big deal. I just kind of disagree with that idea. I understand the purpose as now the key slots offer a bit of ventilation. The inclusion of a simulated MQ-1 would have also made the interior detailing a bit more of a problem...
... And that interior detailing, my friends, is the last point of contention for me. I won't go into all the details of my position. Anyone wanting to suffer through that can start reading around #112 of this thread. The reason I'm even bringing this up again is because while quite a few people felt I was right to be a bit miffed over the alleged theft of my design, there were a handful that either insisted they couldn't see the similarities, or that they needed to see the entire helmet interior before making a decision. There was even a fellow doing his level best to convince me that any similarities were due to convergent evolution. For anyone unfamiliar with the concept, it makes even less sense after looking it up.
Anyway. I'm just going to post the pics and be done with it. They did vary from my overall design in a few places, the tops of the ear caps were changed to accommodate the horrible adjustable liner. Also there are 4 mount points around the center piece that are completely utilitarian.

Addendum- for the purposes of these comparison pics, I cast one of my liners in the same, boring color scheme as Hasbro. The versions that I sell include much more color, depth, and detail. They still could have at least asked me... Or mentioned that the design was inspired by the fan community.

Just got mine from GameStop. Pinstripes look straight to me, but mine has a couple other weird issues. The right cheek area has what almost looks like a thicker layer of dripped paint or overspray or something making a weird look and texture in that spot. And there looked to be a little crack or scratch in the visor and when I barely touched it with my fingernail to see if it was deep, I made another one, so yeah it’s super easy to scratch this visor. Even rubbing the fingerprints out with my tshirt left a brushed texture on it forever now.

Otherwise I don’t see any issues. The weight and feel is great. If i find another in store sometime i might try to exchange it, but im not going to send it back. If anything i'd buy another and maybe repaint this one to Deathwatch or something.

Can we just take a second to reflect that the fact that the above is a sentence being said in relation to a Hasbro toy is...let's face it...astounding? Also, I get it - you feel ripped off, but it's not like you didn't take heavy errr...'convergent evolution'...from the Riddell mini, so maybe enough has been said on the topic at this point?

I'm jazzed for mine to arrive from Gamestop!

The only thing to my untrained, Not-a-Fett-expert eye is that the ear on the rangefinder side looks like it was molded in toy-looking colored gold plastic. Methinks this particular part would benefit from a repaint.

Weird... Toy-palace (german shop for stuff like this) also updated their estimated delivery date to end of june.

Can confirm the visor scratches unbelievably easy on this. It’s one of those plastics that will scratch if you even look at it.
Dangit. Hopefully someone can engineer a solution or replacement? How easy would it be to remove the visor? Maybe we could apply a clear film onto it?

Luckily it does look like there are exposed screws that could be taken out to replace the visor possibly...

For as cost effective as this helmet is, it shouldn't be difficult to replace the visor with one more robust and scratch resistant.

Then again, that shouldn't even be necessary, but meh.
