Black Series Boba Fett Helmet Announced

I'm still waiting for Mando's helmet. Maybe it will be announced on one of the Mando Mondays.

The Star Wars Show had this tease for the next Mando Monday in it. Looks like this COULD be it?

You must not know boba fett’s helmet very well then because the back vents are very different.
I don't think they'd try to pass off a silver Boba Fett as a Mando. The designs are so different.
Like I said, it's a "bad feeling." This is the Replica Prop Forum. We know details of Boba's and Din's helmets, but I think there's a whole group of Hasbro customers that wouldn't know the difference. There might be some minor detail part changes, but lots of people wouldn't know the difference without seeing the helmets together.

I agree. This isn't like reissuing a BS Stormtrooper helmet as a Shadow all black or incinerator trooper, where its the same design just diff paint scheme, its totally different sculpt. Considering how poplar the Mandalorian tv show is, I would hope they took their time, did their research and roll out a nice accurate helmet. The fact they did a laser scan of Boba's helmet, i would hope they would do something similar with Mando's and it would also be (hopefully) fairly accurate to the real prop, and not like their BS Vader helmet :(

I am also not expecting much from a Hasbro Mando helmet.

Case in point: Hasbro announced a War Machine helmet the other day. They literally just repainted their Mk 3 Iron Man helmet. No War Machine helmet in the movies resembles that Iron Man helmet. Not even the Mk 1 War Machine. They're completely different designs.

While I hope the Mando isn't just a repainted Fett with a mohawk, accuracy is not their priority.

It could really go either way. The did an amazing job with their Fett helmet. But then there's their Vader helmet, which is ... something.

I saw that too, but to be fair, I don't think they ever stated it was War Machine from Iron Man 2.

This page on Marvel's site about War Machine has him wearing a helmet that is pretty much just a MkIII Iron Man helmet in silver and black

Exactly. If you look at the actual branding for the product, it is "Marvel Legends" which means it is inspired by other media like the comics. You will note that if you take look at the figures in the Marvel Legends line. Therefore it will probably be very popular to War Machine fans who also follow the character outside of the movies.

When it comes to repaints, I am flabbergasted (currently on anti flabbergasted medication) that there have not been repaints of the Poe and especially the Luke X-Wing helmets. There are so many paint variants, you could offer an exclusive variant to Best Buy, Game Stop, Entertainment Earth, Walmart, Walgreens, Disney Store, Hasbro Online Store, and Target and still have paint schemes to spare.

Hasbro is not without their issues in the past, but when it comes to the Black Series Line (all items) they have been doing very well and have even improved as the years go by. The Mandalorian helmet, I am positive will be based on an actual 3D scan of the real prop. I think the fear of repaints or repackaging becomes more of an issue you you are dealing with store exclusives. This is because they are more likely not to invest in a totally new product development when the item will have limited venues and therefore limited sales. However, if you can cut expenses by repainting and repackaging existing products, a manufacture is more likely to offer an exclusive. This is the case with a lot of the Hasbro products being offered in the Target exclusive Galaxy Edge branding line.
