Do anyone know anything how it was made? got any good pictures?
It would look good as a statue maybe not fullsize but half the real size.

The robots were built by Paul Catling, He sculpted the full-sized robots in clay in two hours

i have a head i made a few years ago, unfortunatley it is at my mothers house so i cant post a pic. it is fiberglass bondo and milliput clay.

it was the first robot head i ever made.

I wonder if you could use a woman mannequin as a template, choper up, vac over the various parts to make the panels. Could save a lot of time in sculpting.. just a thought.

Yeah i have thought about that, maybe to that on the face.
As i would want a smaller size maybe a mannequin of a child would fit better.
then i could use clay to make some parts bigger (boobs) and such.

Great work Zorg, Did you sculp it totally from scratch or did you use a styrofoam head?

from scratch, i layed fiberglass over a vinyl terminator skull and the heated it up and removed the skull, leaving me with a hollow piece.

Something I have been thinking about for a project I am working on.

Lots of drawings, lots of parts box collecting... now I just need to figure out how to make my ideas come to life without blowing a fortune.

How do you sculp Breasts

Big bump from the past!!!

BIG QUESTION TO SCULPTERS : How do you sculpt breasts! ?

I could not get my hand on a adult mannaquin only this teenage one.

As you can see it don't have any breasts to speak of.
Im thinking of sculpting them but i don't know how.
Pear shaped breast would look nice.

Contec, perhaps get a body cast from somewhere. To my eye the robot looks like thick plastic with a gloss finish so perhaps fiberglass with a gelcoat finish?

if i was going to make the full robot i would use these female forms.

they are hollow and you could cut out the shapes quite easily.

i dont think that mannequin is suitable as the proportions might be a little off

My plan is to sculpt the detail on my mannaquin then make a plaster mold of all the parts and then fiberglass into it. Then make a robust skeleton for it out of metal and cover that with "robotic" details and then fasten the "armor" plates on to it.
