BioShock 2 - Little Sister - Completed

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister.

I couldn't find any decent striped purple fabric for this, but I found a white bed cover with a dark purple stripe pattern on it that is actually the same as on the purple dress from the game, only this pattern is a little thinner than the game version as the stripe width of the game version is 4 stripes across the neck while this is 6, so it's not that far apart, plus the pattern looks old and worn off, which will probably look good for this. I will buy some purple fabric dye soon for this and make it lighter purple than the stripes.

Also the really cheap wig came in the mail a few days ago, and it's very well made and looks real, though I'm not sure if it's real human hair or a fiber, but since I can't tell, it's sure good enough. I will add moisturizing cream on it later to make it look more dirty like in the concept drawings, it looks too clean and fluffy right now.

The mannequin seller could find no tiny hands for the one I will buy, so I will have to make those too plus alter the face of it.

The little thing came in the mail some while back, but I had other projects to finish, but have started this one again now. I put the wig on it, and already it looks more like a girl, so it was probably just a unisex mannequin like they used to make mostly all of them back then. The nose could be used to chisel stone :p I will start altering the face this week.

I also started building the ADAM extractor out of various junk I scavenged for this project, and so far it's starting to look like the thing after an evenings work. I used a small tabasco bottle for it, and damn that stuff is hard for the guts...

The tube cracked apart when I tried bending it, but it was screwed together again in an angle. It was all going to be painted anyway, so I will just smooth it all out with bondo.

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister

Got some more work done on the ADAM extractor today. Even found some bright LEDs that will light up the goo inside the bottle. Starting to look like the thing already.

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister

Gotta love those little sisters, creepy, but cute, I liked the Jhonen Vasquez artwork that came for BS2, his style lent itself perfectly to the little sisters.

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister

Thanks, guys :D

@Utherpend - I'll most likely end up using red acrylic paint mixed with water, that should be transparent enough to make it all glow. A red LED will make sure of that.

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister

Only need to bondo and spray paint this piece of crap now, will possibly finish that today.

And I realized this morning that the bright red LED didn't work because I always mistake the negative pole of button cell batteries for the positive pole, so I will fix this also today.

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister

That's great that you think so. :D
I tried to give the main shaft a neat bend, but it cracked, resulting in the shape it has now instead, but it's good enough that way.

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister

ive got a question for you. im building a delta helmet right now and i was wondering, if i built one of these and put it on the back of my helmet, is it too heavy or will it be ok?

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister

I was thinking about doing that myself. It is not that extremely heavy, it would all depend on how much weight you would handle yourself on your back.

The low-res game model that people use for the Pepakura helmet was made in one piece with the backpack plate, probably just to save polygons, but really the backpack plate with the rack for the little sister is not a part of the helmet, so having a little sister on your back would not drag down on your helmet if you made it that way.

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister

ya i am using the pepakura one. im more worried about it breaking than it being heavy on me though... i mean im a 6'1 foot tall, 170 pound dude, lol weight isnt an issue for me. but i think i can make it where it wont break if i make it with alot of fiberglass wrap and bondo.
