BioShock 2 - Little Sister - Completed

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister

Well alrighty then. I won't use that pepakura model, but a whole lot of fiberglass and bondo would probably work for that.

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister - WIP

Look, Mr. Bubbles! ADAM!!

Couldn't quite get the LED bright enough to make it glow, but you know, that's where photo editing comes in ;)

Almost done scraping all the old paint off of the mannequin and should be done with that one soon too, so stay tuned.

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister - WIP

Them lil sisters freak me out. But be cool to make one and have it outside for Halloween.

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister - WIP

I was working on a different project when the marker I needed for it was sent away in my Vespa's luggage box to the service center, so I got to work on this project again while waiting to get the marker back.

Cut away the blubby cheeks to make the face more like the standard Little Sister face from BioShock 2.

Cut off that icepick of a nose to reconfigure it, made the lips more round and feminine, reshaped the cheeks with bondo, and put in ping-pong balls with LED lighting behind them. I'll show you the glowing in the end, it looks awesome.

A better look at the face once primered.

And a quick little photo edit to see what it will probably look like in the end.

I modelled the face after the conceptual artwork, but was not going for a complete copy of that since I wanted to see what this face in particular would look like once altered.

Hope you all like it so far, it should be done pretty soon now.

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister - WIP

Thanks, guys :D

I painted the whole thing today, minus the arms. I used acrylic paints to get a realistic enough skin tone and then hued it green to give it that right Little Sister skin color. The wig is nowhere near finished and is not tied up in the back like it should be.

The eyes glow more yellow in real life, but hey at least you can see them glow just like the real (virtual) thing.

Also in case you thought this would look fake and too much like a mannequin standing next to my Subject Delta costume in the photos I will make, I have a great sollution for that, using a program that can simulate just about every facial expression there is. Editing the pose is not a problem either, I've done that many times before for photos.

Not much left now, just need to paint some blood on the feet, clearcoat the whole body with flat clear coat, then cast new hands for the arms, plus making joints for the shoulders. Then of course there's that dress I have to sew...

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister - WIP

This is awesome. I love the Bioshock world. It's nice to see you using some of this mannequin's features instead of a total copy. The little sisters were modified kids after all and would have looked different to each other (but for the glowing eyes). In the first game, some parents commit suicide after recognising one of the little sisters as their missing daughter. I'm guessing the game stuck to 1 or 2 base models due to the statistics of making them all different. I love the glowing eyes on the mannequin, very cool.
Good work with CG buy the way, likin' it all. = )

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister - WIP

Absolutleyfriggenawsome! I love the modified mannequin, you HAVE to put this in the window on Halloween.

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister - WIP

@Canobi - Thanks :D Yeah that's why I wanted to keep this mannequin's own features instead of making it look like any of the other ones since no two girls are alike...Unless they are twins, but that's beside the point. I think they used only one game model in both games, only they change the dress textures in the second game to make them look like different girls, something I'm also wondering if I should do for this one too to make it look like many different Little Sisters in the photos.

@Hogosha - Haha, I was thinking of doing that sometime, though my apartment's entrance is on the backside of the building, so most likely no kids will come here. Still there's a Halloween show each year in my home town where people walk through the local mines to be scared by people in costumes (one of them being me in fact), so having a creepy little girl with glowing eyes and a huge blood sucking syringe would probably look pretty scary in that cave. The kids will have nightmares for months.

@DarkJedi1500 - Yay, Delta approves :D Thanks for that. Little Sister whatever her name is approves your Delta costume too ;)

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister - WIP

I finished the arms a few days back. Made them from "doll clay" that is hardened in the oven.
040.jpg

I made both hands to be able to hold the ADAM extractor just in case. One of the hands could hold the Big Daddy doll anyway, or any other finger poses could be done digitally.
042.jpg

I also finished painting all the blood and goo on it today, plus spraying it with a flat clear coat.

I toned down the dark eyes a bit to make them more like the game versions. I only had the one concept drawing in a book to look at while building this, so a few things had to be changed after seeing them again in the new BioShock 2 add-on game Minerva's Den. I also painted the eyes with transparent yellow paint to make them of course more yellow glowing, they looked too white before.

I'm bringing this up to my apartment tomorrow to sew the dress and fix the wig for it, but I'm not sure if I'm going to make just one purple dress to have this as one specific Little Sister or if I should sew multiple dresses in different colors and changing the hair look to make this one look like several Little Sisters in the photos.

Might just look like a bunch of clones or the same girl in different dresses if I do so, but what do you all think? I've got tons of girly fabric I want to get out of my crates...

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister - WIP

More will be given!! That's good! I'm trying to figure out now how to reduce the size of the wig, after that I'll be making the dress. Soon there will be ADAM for all of ya!

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister - WIP

The wig and eyebrows plus pretty much everything else except the dress is now completed on this, so here's a small update before I head over to the horizontal recharging station for the night.
061.jpg

I put body lotion all over the hair to make it look dirty and gooey like that (ran out of hair gel one day and hence figured this out...) The eyebrows are made of double sided tissue tape, just cut some excess hair into tiny pieces and roll it over -> eyebrows, simple as that.

Dang, this thing is starting to look disturbingly life-like here where it stands, but I guess that's what I was going for.

Re: BioShock 2 - Little Sister - WIP

This is outstanding and inspiring. I really want to try something like this now. Great work!
