I was in the 501st for a few years and this is by far the best Scout helmet I have seen. Outstanding job.

Well Wolf, we don't know what's been going on with you for quite a while, now. We hope that you're alright.

Look for 3M Speedglas 9000 series headband and bolt set.Headband is still almost identical to the original but the bolt design was changed a year or so ago. They are still the same size but not so accurate. The accurate bolts can still be found on welding masks etc. Why they changed this 30+ year design I don't know!

Mark you can order the headband from any welding suppliers.

I just wanted to put in my observation of these comparison shots of yours beside/above the screen used BS helm(on page 4...I think?). I noticed that the original has a bigger/wider lense when compared, perhaps it's just the angle? But the original also appears to have a straighter top of the lense(not sure what else to call the tinted lense area?). And the top left and right corners of the lense seems to have ever so slightly sharper corners on the original, perhaps that's due to to the straighter top edge? Overall the original lense appears slightly bigger, but to me noticeably bigger when side by side? Perhaps it's just me, and if u already noticed this or if someone already pointed this out I apologize, I'm clearly very late to this conversation, heheh! I also wanted to say what an incredibly awesome job you've done on this helmet. And my critiques are only nit picky stuff, on one of the most accurate BS helms out there, if not the most accurate!? Do u also go by "Lone Wolf" by chance? If u offer kits or these BS helms, or in any form(finished, or very raw) I'm definitely wanting one?! Great job, u have amazing talent. Did u build this from scratch, sculpt in clay first, 3-D print, pepakura, or alter an existing BS helm? How did u build this? Thanks Wolf
