Best Stormtrooper Helmet?

Hi y'all,

I am a long time follower and admirer, and newly registered member of the forum. I have been looking on the boards and I am not sure if this has already been covered or not, but I am looking to purchase/build a Stormtrooper helmet. I know there are many different styles of costumes and helmets, based on different mold and so forth, but am looking to be pointed in the right direction, to find a helmet that is accurate (such as 501st ready) etc.

There are a lot of really talented people on the site, and people with a lot more experience than me, and would hope that y'all can provide me with some info in this matter.

Thanks :)

Ask and you shall recieve Brother.

All I can tell you is stay away from anything AA!

3...... 2........ 1.........FIGHT!!

there really isnt a 'best' helmet. Theres just choice. Prob best if u head over to fisd and do the research yourself rather than ask for opinions cos there lots of that and it gets very complicated

Personally I would go for te2,cap-w, tm then ap. In that order.

I'm no expert here, but you really need to learn to use the search function and then read.

Use the advanced search function and type in stormtrooper or stormtrooper helmet. Then read. There are dozens of threads. More than dozens.

For most makers, you will see the armor referred to with an abreviation in all capitals.

For more information, go to FISD.

You will find it much more fun to find out for yourself than have someone serve it up to you after your first post. Good hunting!

Grabbing popcorn...

If you want a good helmet kit for a nice price, CAP W is the best according to me for the ANH/ESB style.

For the ROTJ style, no doubt, it's CFO that you need!

Well put Nate I would also include CFO especially since they are about to have a ANH helmet added to the line.

:lol
5 paragraphs... lol.

i expected a fight too...
maybe it's just cuz it's a slow saturday?

Yeah I broke down who makes what and why this is better than that etc.

Then realised we don't know this guy. Gino wouldn't sell him a V3 anyway. :p

Honestly I think AP is the way to go for a first time bucket. It is thicker like you would THINK a "helmet" would be. And it has the same lineage as a TE or Gino. They are affordable and easy to find.

So really maybe I should have just wrote. "buy an AP". :lol

honestly, i'm not sure that he could have handled that response anyways. heh.
not even really sure if i could, to tell you the truth. :lol

my advice....find someone with molds molded from somewhere in between the outside and inside of a screen used helmet that was or wasn't scanned into a computer and cut out of andrew ainsworth's blackened heart.

No one has asked which film yet.
Still a beginner to all of this myself, but I think that ROTJ had differences to the other two films.
I could be wrong, but after reading up on FISD that is what I found.
