Bespin Luke Fatigues Help

I'm thinking about doing a costume (Jacen Solo) with the girlfriend (Jaina Solo) and was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a capable jumpsuit creator for a variation of the Bespin Luke jumpsuit that Jacen wears on the cover of a Japanese New Jedi Order cover. Here's a shot of it:

I did a quick search of the boards, and didn't turn up anything helpful, but hopefully you guys have some ideas for me. Thanks in advance. :)

I don't think it's a jumpsuit. It looks more like Luke's "Bespin fatigues", jacket and pants.

He's right. The costume pictured is a 2 piece set of gray fatigues, and the illustration seems to basically match Luke's costume, with perhaps a small change to the cuffs.

First off, thanks for the replies guys. I appreciate the help.

I guess I thought it was a jumpsuit because of this picture(and the green tinted one):

It just looked like a one piece with the zipper running all the way down under his belt and into the groin zipper. But I'm sure you guys know way more about this outfit than I do. So I guess the question now is, any leads on Bespin Luke fatigues?? :D

On a completely unrelated note, GeneralMayhem, I absolutely adore your Alphonse Elric armor. It is simply amazing...

Considering how snug that outfit fit Luke, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that it was a flight suit pattern cut in half. Or at least, that's an easy way to go for making one yourself.

I haven't heard of anyone making them for sale as of yet. I have read at TFN that the costumebay guy on Ebay has been asked to start making them. The best source of info I've found is this thread here:

Here's my costume I put together for Halloween this year.

I made the jacket and pants myself out of a twill fabric using the Falcon jacket pattern mentioned in that thread. Had to rework some stuff like the pockets and the closure on the jacket, and the cuffs, but managed to pull it off with my meager skills. The only thing I'd really made before that was the inner robe for my vader costume. Hope this has been some help to you.

Well Luke and Leia were siblings and that had that kissing thing going on and...

Oh...never mind. ;)
[/b]

Yeah, I figured it was only a matter of time before the sibling kissing jokes began. :lol

I did some research and found a few people that have created the costume, but they either haven't replied to emails or aren't in the business anymore. It seems to be a suit that no one really specializes in at the moment.

Although, Lord Pupmind...that's hands down the best Bespin fatigues I've seen out there. :thumbsup Would you have any interest in recreating your prized work in a hunter green twill as a commission? :) :)

I had my suit done by Katarra Kreations many years ago. The owner was selling small items on ebay, but has since stopped. Her quality was insanely good,....the turnaround times were lax though .....this is still one of my favorites since you don't see them much. Perhaps you might try doing a quick search for the name.

I've never weathered it,.....perhaps someday.

Believe it or not I already have. :) She was one of the few names that I researched and dug up attached to this suit, found her on eBay, and messaged her a few days ago. She hasn't emailed back, so she's either busy or not working on this costume anymore. Thanks for the help and effort regardless. :)

Thanks for the compliments, Jodo and I have sent you a PM. Thats a really nice costume, DL-44. The best ESB Luke I've seen.

i always thought Lukes Bespin Fatigues was infact a Jump suit until i realised he takes his Jacket off On Dagobah.

I would say that looking at the pictures of Jacen it certainly does look like a Jumpsuit, so in theory you have 2 Options go with the Luke Bespin Fatiques and have a 2 piece Costume or use the same Pattern and get whoever makes it for you to alter it into an all in one.

ill follow this thread with great interest :)

Kathy is a good source for small items like pins and patches, and is a reliable vendor for those kind of items, but does very little costume work any more. She's focusing on other projects these days.

Hey GM,
Having looked at your fantastic site for the 1st time (sorry :confused ) isnt this something you could do

Hello Im pretty much new to this hobby, have been registered for a while now but have hardly posted much. Id like to ask a few questions. Can anyone help point me in the right direction to get a Luke Bespin fatigues costume made? This would include the jacket, the pants, the entire belt accessory, his proper tesb bespin blaster and his boots. Whats the best way to get a whole piece like this? Any help would be appreciated.
