Batman Red Hood UK

they are put together with black foam, sanded down aviator lenses and black electrical tape, a quick fix. To make better, I seen on ebay mirrored visor in sheet form from chap in Australia( posed inside a clonetrooper helmet) seems reasonably priced. and maybe a black fine mesh material to counter the fogging, it made my girlfriends day laughing at me

Nice work. Makes me excited to see how mine turns out. I don't know if this would work for sure, but it should. With paint ball masks you get pretty bad fogging as well so paintball companies sell anti fog spray and it works pretty good. When I would go out paintballing and used the spray the lenses would
stay clear the whole time.

They also have mirrored paintball mask lenses, that might be another option. Plus they are cheaper than a motorcylce visor and should do the job.

Im thinking of going to a vinyl sign shop and see if I would be able to see through a sheet of perforated white vinyl (like the ones used on cars that have a full vinyl skin).

Thanks for sharing!

cheers for the idea's. my job now is to improve the helmet and the costume as it stands. I like everyones different idea's and renditions for this RedHood

Just some pics of just the helmet, the padding is a bit crude, I rushed, obviously there are defects, quite a few etc, I'm going to work on this to improve everything about the helmet over the next couple of months.

It was yeah, thats another reason I need to revise it, I may look at fitting a small fan, but different lining and making the lenses out of different materials. Its all fun and learning. cheers for the feedback

Well its been a while, work etc has been hectic. I plan to revise my costume and helmet for ThoughtBubble Uk in Leeds 19th November 2011.
1-Trimming jawline of helmet, resand etc
2-aluminium mesh and mirrored visor for eye's
3-customise jacket to look more like statue/animation
4-fake leather for knife holster, hobby glue came loose when i sat down
5-sheet aluminium for leg plate, plastic one snapped unfortunately
6-revise shin plates
7-hit the gym like Batman & practice Keysi Fighting Method again

more pictures. I'll add the costume details pics later, need to upload them off my phone. Loads of people asked for pics and seemed impressed with costume and helmet, cheers again BlackKaos. I was the only RedHood too.
The white streek in my hair is natural I promise,it started in my twenty's, but coincidental to the character

Revision of the sheathe, cover it in faux black leather and sealed a piece behind the leg plate, worked a treat.
The eye's changed slightly, kept the mirrored lenses, but sanded to exact template i did, used white and black tight material to keep the look and keep the eyes breathable.

more, back of jacket adjusted.
more of other cosplayer from ThoughtBubble UK, members of the Heroes Alliance UK
