Batman Desert Storm - Suit Build (PICS HEAVY)

Good Day!

Hi, My name is Mark Celtic and I am from The Philippines, Im just only 16 years old so bare with me LOL..
This is gonna be my first Suit Build post here on the rpf and I am currently working on with The Batman Desert Storm - Comic con 09 entry by Farazmobin.. The movie Dark Knight Rises is near so I then decided to make a Bat suit.. First I thought of why not making the original Dark Knight suit but I realized that there were already so many cosplayers here in our country that made one, Thats why I decided to make the desert storm batman so that I am gonna have a unique bat suit when the movie came out and have some Movie Watching in Costume.. I am gonna be making this suit out of craft foam different materials will just be some sort of improvements...

Lets Start! :lol

First thing that I did is make the main base part of the helmet/cowl out of Craft Foam with NO TEMPLATES AT ALL!..
I don't use patterns or templates that much.. I think that is my specialty, Making costumes out of scratch LOL..

I then added the ears, nose and the Main Face Mask Part...

After that, I sculpted the eyebrows using Polymer Clay..

Craft Foam Coated with Acrylic Emulsion..

I then on started on working with the Neck Piece..

(with Mask on)

I am so excited to finish the Body Armor thats why
I haven't got the time to take pictures of the progress.. :facepalm well here it is!

Im sorry if I haven't got more detailed pictures on how I made those things :cry..

Yeah, every costume that I built has no template or patterns DAMN :facepalm...
That's why when there's someone who wants to have a copy of my Suit for commission, The out come is not that good like the first one I made.. By the way, Thank you very much

I forgot to mention you on my first post! I was inspired on your Desert Storm Suit thats why I built mine! I was searching the internet for a few months and looking for a Batman Desert Storm costume and your's was the only one showing up.. So I looked over your threads and WOW I was so amazed.. small update....

I made some Batarangs Dark Knight Version out of Sintra Board..
Its a pain on cutting them lol, It made my hand puffy..

Some were not yet cut properly in this pic..

I just finished making the Gauntlets today and here are the pics..

^I do not have any reference picture of the inside of the gauntlet so I just made up these design.. I think it looks cool..

HI EVERYONE! I've been gone so long..
I think its time for me to update this thread and share my stuffs... Well here it is!!



The Utility Belt...

I made it functional, I've put some holsters for the batarangs..

A compartment for the Cyano Arcylate Adhesive in case of emergency..

And a Compartment for my Cellphone..

Last is a hook like thing made from Sintra Board for my Grappling Gun Prop..

Here's the progress pics for the grappling gun..

It does shoot something.. All you have to do is pull the round part on the middle and pull the trigger then BAM! Im gonna make a vid of it soon...

I also made a Robin Mask out of sintra board.. Its for my friend, He's gonna suit up as Robin hehe..
