The new owners of WB probably wanted to use that money to make Naked and Afraid - The Motion Picture....or maybe something about crab fishing.

I'm absolutely gutted that if The Flash also bites the dust, as seems not unlikely due to Ezra Miller's insane behaviour, we might never see either of the films that were to have brought back Michael Keaton's Batman. It was unlikely enough to even have that as a possibility after all these years. What are the chances that both the films that teased it seem to be jinxed. 
No idea if it's real, but the stated reason in one of the articles makes sense to me, that the damage a terrible movie could do to their already struggling franchise, one that they hope will make them billions if they can turn it around, is worth eating 90M to avoid.
Well, to piggyback off of this news, new reports are that HBOmax itself is being shut down, with 70% of it's workforce being laid off at any time. Once it was thought that it would simply merge with Discovery+, but the new reports are that HBO will go back to it's old model of 1-2 new shows per year & it's library of programming being pimped out to other streaming services.

Although it's good looking, and I understand the reasons behind it, that jacket always seemed stiff and restricting to me. Wouldn't want to fight bad guys hand-to-hand or swing from flagpoles in that. There's a reason gymnasts don't wear tough leather garments that could stand up all by themselves.
I think we're gonna see more of this in the future. (Mostly-done movies being abandoned or started over.) These days the franchises are so much more valuable than any one single production.
Lucasfilm basically made 'Solo' twice to get one good version. It was still a mediocre hit, but I do believe it was probably the right choice to re-shoot it after the first version sucked.
Look at 'Back to the Future' with Eric Stolz. Starting over with MJF was an expensive & painful choice but it was ultimately the right move.

Honestly, I don't care. I haven't cared about superhero movies at all in a long time and as little as I care about Marvel, I care even less about DC. The majority of their movies have been garbage and even the ones that were watchable, they weren't anything special. Cancel all of them. I don't care anymore.

To be fair, nobody outside of Warners really knows what's going on and the actual reason for the canning of Batgirl. This guy is just reporting what he's been told by supposed insiders and he admits as much that he doesn't know how much to believe and whether his informants are for real or not.
