Guys,

Your forgetting the origions of the Barbarella comic book, I believe this was one of the very first Erotic sci-fi comics.

Therefore, I think this rifle design's sex appeal come from the rather "Phallic " looking male front end.
And Feminine form from it's curvy wooden parts and the woman's hand for a stock.


I guess you can call this rifle "BiSexual" :lol

Doc, you need allot of shag carpet to go with that computer and shutters :p


I always like the female sculpture holding the crescent moon in tha background. In the film the center of the crecent is a 2-sided video screen.

The movie was shoot in Rome, so I guess the sculpture was a found object in that country.

nice work on the weapon , to bad it wasen in the movie like all the rest of promo pics (only the wood and silver split tube with scope, one with a hand the other with silver arm brace is in the movie and a little pistol ) ,and yes he forget the trigger and as far of size its pretty close (shes 5.7 + 2 inches heals so 5.9 minus 4 inches since its eye level so the weapon is realy close too 5.6 total) . and that movie is kinda bad and really close to a bad porno movie hahaha but you see a lot of jane :p still always great work Adam and the tested crew . and for a one day build its pretty damn good (gaps color etc etc need little fixing and the barrel look like a cone all the way and there is a metal band holding the canon and the stock ) its just minor details (for a fist try it good)I bet wen he do the second one, he`s going to take is time and it will be even better.

Aside of her "politics", I'd only have one use for her...and I'm sure most of you know what that would have been...Gun looks interesting..Not interesting enough for me to want one, though..

It reminds me of the "hoagie" rifle from Galaxy Quest, but without the netting. I wonder if they were inspired by Barbarella...

The best thing I have seen on the long rifle that lolow posted a pic of before was a video from Tested.com. Adam Savage builds that same rifle. He discusses scaling and shaping and the shaping of the metal hardware. The video is on youtube.
