That's silly and selfish. If it was true, the people that want it could get it, and you don't have to buy it. If it's not true, then no one can get it, including you who did not want it anyway.

I can argue for him - less time and money wasted on designing TLJ and Solo kits means bigger chance for getting something more important/interesting, like TIE Bomber or even bigger ISD or Falcon ESB/ROTJ ver. "why not both" not always works in the corporate world. Even in more profitable gunpla branch you get only one PG for every year or two.

lot of things, actually:
1) houses in japan are small, so big kits arent popular (and japan corporations are looking at domestic market first)
2) in general kids these days prefer videogames over physical toys
3) even if they buy toys, completed kits are more popular than model kits that you need to put together and paint by yourself, modelmaking is dying hobby
4) molds are expensive and corporations are cheap, so more popular designs are taking priority
5) Thanks to Disney, SW isnt as popular as it used to be, so market for SW kits is smaller (oversaturation with movies, questionable quality of them, terrible job at dealing with the community after backlash, big licensing costs, making marvell the most popular thing amongst kids, etc)
etc.

Still hope for TIE Bomber because noone did it in the past, but i'm afraid that it might be too obscure for bandai, even ISD took them many years and one major scaledown before finally releasing it. It would be cool to get every SW kit ever in 1/72, but sad reality is that it's a constant fight to get anything new, so if I must to choose, I prefer to get something classic yet never released, rather than cheap modification of existing kits (falcon variants) or marketing push (ST kits that only fraction of Sw fans even care of. I know this community is filled with super-SW-fans, but reality is that toys of the older characters are more popular than the newer ones).

Actually the best way to get a 1/72 Lando Falcon is to buy a Fine Molds/Revell 1/72 Falcon and modify it like the Lucasfilm pre-production team did when planning it. In fact, that's my only complaint about the design: they based it on the inaccurate FM kit that has the wrong hull curvature, too high sidewalls, parallel mandibles, yada-yada. But since the FM/Revell kit is pricey, ya gotta REALLY love the Lando Falcon to do it -- and even I'm not quite there (and I'm a big Solo fan). If I still had mine unbuilt in the stash, I'd do it in a heartbeat. It's interesting to imagine how the design might have been slightly different had the production team used a PG Falcon as their base.

As far as OT kits go, really the two major spaceship releases remaining (without getting into various scales) are the TIE bomber and the Imperial shuttle. It's hard to imagine they won't at least do those two. Eventually.

Maybe the concept model, but the final CG model used in the movie (as well as the Bandai) is definitely based off 5fter proportions.

Are you sure? I have the Bandai and it's pretty flat. That and the escape pod module in the front really only works if the mandibles are parallel. I mean, they fudge it since the Lando skin is a veneer over the stripped down version from the OT, but still. I remember seeing a video about how the original directors liked the flatter and sleeker look of the prototype model.

How about a non-mini Super Star Destroyer and 1/350 Blockade Runner?

There are plenty of choices. My top 2 would be 1/350 Blockade Runner and 1/48 Y-wing.

Yeah, I was just referring to ships that haven't been done yet, not various scales. Basically hero or close to hero ships (TIE bomber is kinda on the edge -- more a background ship -- but I'd rank it way higher than, say, a Cloud Car on everyone's "me want" scale).

"Satisfied" might be strong. I bet both, even as mini kits, would be pretty cool and more accurate than anything Revell or AMT would produce. But I don't think it's a stretch to think the bomber would be 1/72 and the shuttle in 1/144. Those would be about perfect "Japanese home" scale.

I'd love to have a N-1 Naboo starfighter together with the droid fighters from TPM. The Radiant VII would be very high on my list, IMO it's the best ship design since TPM came out. The other fighters of the PT are also nice designs and would scream to be released from Bandai. And, of course, the sleek Naboo royal ships... As I think about it, there's no ship design from the PT I don't like (PT-haters, you can debate about the plot somewhere else! ;-) ). Just in case, someone at Bandai reads this ;-)

I would love to get a Lucre-Hulk Trade Federation ship- it is a win win for Bandai because with an extra sprue it can be three kits. The Stock Freighter, the Droid Control Ship and the upgunned version we saw in RotS

I'd love the Jedi fighter from RotS,....& Jango's Slave 1 from AotC,....(with some good reference pics of the paintwork)

The Radiant would be cool,....but a nicer scale than the BR we got

I agree the designs of the PT ships are outstanding,....bring more of them

Yep, I've managed to see the CG model. You are right that the mandible might be a bit more parallel to accommodate Lando's escape pod. The reason it looks more flat is that it's outer panelling enveloping the original Falcon, so it doesn't hug as tight/curvy.
