It looks like EndGame is getting a re-release with new footage:
Oh alright, I'll go see it again then!
:)

Of course, the danger in this is that James Cameron might decide to up the stakes by re-releasing the original Avatar again before his sequels come out. You know, just to freshen people's memory.

I'm pretty sure the re-release for endgame is exclusively for the record.

Also, said the added footage is just post credits...a deleted scene and 'tributes'

Crush? I'm guessing they'll maybe get 2.82.

Re-releasing a movie 7 weeks old isn't likely to do much. Star Wars initial run was like 9 months. Avatar made it 4-5ish i think.

You think an end credits scene pulls in 300M+?

I don't know if it will bring in that much money, but I'm pretty sure it'll do very well on its second run. There will be quite a few people who will pay the money for the opportunity to experience the movie on the big screen again, or even for the first time. I know several people who wanted to see it, but for whatever reason couldn't make it to the theater in its initial run.

Right here! I'll definitely pay to see it on the big screen one more time. The additional footage doesn't make a difference to me.

They could have easily made two movies from Endgame. It actually may have helped the story....

End Endgame Pt. 1 with Hulk snap/Thanos and crew arriving. The time travel teams could have used something a little more substantial, instead of as rushed as it was. To me, these were the weak links of the story that didn't seem fleshed out enough.

Part two would obviously be the big fight and endings. Expanding to another movie would allow a little more drama in some spots, but... there's little doubt this is little more than a battle.

I loved Endgame as it was, I'm not saying it should have been two movies... just it may have been interesting to have been two movies. Endgame part 1 would have come out on its initial release date and 2 gets Spidey's July 3rd date (Spidey pushed back).

I don't think either would have touched Avatar's haul - but combined Marvel would've made bank. Of course, that would also mean more costs - actors, writers and everyone, marketing, etc.

After watching HISHE, this film did have its holes. "3 stones are in NY in 2012" But also ALL the stones were in the gauntlet 2 weeks after the snap, BEFORE Thanos destroyed them all. If time travel was possible, they could have went back and saved Vision and prevented the original snap.

But also, the snap opens passages for mutants and F4. I say, all 4 snaps cause mutants, because each snap contains radiation, and if each snap includes the time stone, the radiation can he exposed throughout all time. Resulting in radiation exposure to humans centuries before 2018. In theory, Cap could have witnessed mutants, and they could exist during the final scene of Endgame. So, even with the plot holes and the excessive time travel, the9r time travel can "have consequences" leading us to mutants in the current timeline. Easy retcon explaining why they haven't emerged until now

Could they really have beaten the 6-stoned Thanos? Maybe considering that he was wounded from Snap1. I'm not convinced though, this sounds like a dicey plan.

I disagree that this was an option. In the movie Tony Stark states up front, that he will only help if he can keep the last 5 years the same. Without his help, none the time travel stuff would have worked. There was no option of any action that would have prevented the first snap.

It's explained that you can't change the past in that way, you simply cause it to split off into alternatives.

I'm not convinced they would've stood a chance against a full strength Thanos with the stones. I mean, look at the last battle. Captain America, Iron Man and Thor with Mjolnir and Stormbreaker were given a right kicking by 2014 Thanos, and he didn't even have the stones. He was only beaten by Tony stealing the stones, and snapping him out of existence.
