Art Asylum / Diamond Select TOS Phaser build with metal parts.

Feyth is that a clear plastic piece or is it like the gray piece in the attached photo?
These plastic parts are usually strong. Maybe on the 2008 Art Asylum phaser's and later they are using a more fragile piece.

This one is from a 2003 Art Asylum phaser and it is a very strong piece. Never had a problem with it.

Yes I think this is the part. No it is pretty strong... My floors are cement, and despite the phasers best attempts to attack the floor, it's not strong enough. I thought casting the whole thing both P1 and P2 and making a rubber one maybe one solution, Then one has to worry about seams and such like.

Maybe a thick rubber mat on the floor might help.:lol

See, this mannequin's hand is open enough to accept the phaser, I haven't figured out how to get it to stay. So when it falls... Well you know!

If one of the fingers was on the trigger that would help. Maybe you can jam a piece of cloth between the phaser and hand
or tie it on with a piece of string or something? It's a cool looking display though.

Yeah, That's what I thought too, about one of the fingers. I was also thinking about some hockey tape... You'd see that I think from a mile off! anyway, here is the rest of it! DSCF1555.JPG

Hmmmm..... Not a bad idea.....

It's cannon! every millimetre:), Some of the ladies I run with don't like that it's so short... What should it matter? Only a mannequin has to wear it! ... Anyway I should digress now and say, I got myself a new Phaser today... also my comic book dealer has another phaser and TOS communicator for me so that's 2 phasers and a communicator, How is that for timing? I got thinking, There is really no need to retouch it... since it is cannon... After all they had used them for "In A Mirror Darkly". Which mean's less work. Just the same, I'm wondering which blue laser will fit and not cause too much of a power drain. So... I'm thinking about this job, By and large model making was never my thing so this could take a while... fortunately, I have plenty of time! ;)

Great another one...
Yeah!!! :lol

Yes! I need to balance my phaser collection, not enough black & whites! :lol

But this one is being a pain in the butt, the more I torture it the less it cooperates with me.:facepalm
So it's time to get a little more aggressive with it. :devil

Just came across this thread waiting for breakfast to heat up... amazing, guys!

Spacerone, you've totally inspired me to upgrade my DST phaser to a hero B&W instead of just letting it keep rattling around. You're a phaser-making machine! :)
