Art Asylum / Diamond Select TOS Phaser build with metal parts.

Thanks, I kinda figured. I made a mold of the 23rd Century ribs ages ago but have no resin now.

I have a couple half-finished conversions, and your pics look very familiar, as I did a lot of the same stuff. :)

Sorry, who is Tony and what is his site?

Treadwell here are his two sites. Tony supplies a lot of us here with very good replacement parts for our phasers.

Thanks, that's awesome. I've accumulated a few metal replacements over the years from runs here...but that's going back a bit!

Treadwell I know what you mean. It's a lot easier finding parts when you need them if you know where to look.;)

Hey y'all, Does it matter what grit you use to sand the P-1 smooth or to sand the portions of the P-2 that we need to sand. The technical details are missing, I thought I'd ask before I mess up the project!

Thank you

I really need to unsubscribe to this thread before I start purchasing all the upgrades and then have to explain my impulse purchases to the wife. :facepalm

too late for me - already in hot water with the wife for reading this thread , and having it re-ignite my passion for phaser props

Thank you

Feyth on the p1 use a grit between 220 to 400 to remove the rough texture and maybe finish off with a 600 grit. This way you won't have deep scratches to fill in later on if you were to use the lower grit sandpaper like 60 or 100. On the p2 you can use the same except you may need to use 100 grit where the front nozzle was cut off and also to bring down the raised silver painted top plate at the front of the p2 and then use the higher grit paper once it is about level.

to those who have done the white handled phasers - how did you do the electron aspirator pile area ??make it smooth like that ? also how were the 2 buttons done in the force indicator dial area

Ranallace on the aspirator just fill in the crevices and sand smooth. For the two buttons I used a 5/16 plexi glass rod and shaped them.

Does anyone have the "Federation Phaser" hero buildup mod with all the extras to show off? Video would be better.

Redshirt I went to Tony's site to order some more metal parts and found this video of his ultimate hero phaser that has all the extras. I got to say very nice indeed:thumbsup and I love the laser feature and watch crown jewel that lights up. :love

I started upgrading my AA grey-handle phasers (I have six) a couple of years ago but other projects got in the way. So I am loving this thread.
