My preorder from 2019 still hasn't shipped. I sent them a question asking why mine hasn't been shipped if they have some in stock. They said they are making them in small batches and ship them in the sequence the preorders were placed. Saying they are "in stock" is misleading.

So they were like, "damn, this ggriffaw fellow is actually checking on what we say and could be a problem later on. Better ship him one of the twelve helmets we actually made"?
Shipping one hours after you inquire and getting a "shipping in sequence story" can't be a coincidence.

The page now says "Sold Out". Maybe they realized it wasn't smart to list a product as "In Stock" when all of the preorders have not been fulfilled.
Mine should arrive Wednesday according to the tracking.
I think it's also because some of the ANOVOS employees are actively reading this thread.

I can understand someone wanting an officially licensed product but, for those who simply want the shape - like for a costume - I think some good, old-fashioned recasting is in order.

I had the Don Posts before Anovos announced their project and I had intended to fix up the Don Posts to take care of some of their 'issues' (warpage, visor, overall color), but the Anovos version looked too nice to pass up.

What kind of packing material was in the box? Was it the packing peanuts and weird velvety looking bag that the one on the previous page had?

Inside the cardboard "Anovos" box was an inner framework of styrofoam with a styrofoam sheet 'lid', the helmet was inside that wrapped in a heavy clear plastic bag. The inside of the helmet was filled/packed with styrofoam peanuts. The plastic-wrapped helmet was packed in styrofoam peanuts inside the the styrofoam framework, capped off with a dark gray 'egg carton' foam sheet. It felt fairly well protected to me. No apparent shipping scratches or marring as far as I can tell...

Agreed - I think properly 'fixed up' the Don Post would be a very nice display piece. That was my original intention of course, but then the easier solution of the 'ready-out-of-the-box' Anovos option became available.

I own a several of their fiberglass helmets. The cracking is only an issue on the Phasma and Kylo helmets. I don't know what the cause of it is, but the chrome finish becomes completely cracked over time. My Phasma was in mint condition when I got it 2/3 years ago. Now it's completely covered in cracks. The chrome trim on my Kylo has it too but it's not immediately noticeable. My 5 other helmets are as good as new still.
