Seems a bit much, but I wonder if the original is like that and the lighting on the set makes it look less obvious. How do you feel about the weathering seems to be a lot of orange brown?

Ideally I’d like the bottom band black free so you think it’s possible with a quick light rub of acetone and then a light wipe with a cloth ?
They are both the same helmet, the one that craigjohn posted is from my post on Facebook. The pictures are taken from different angles and with different cameras.Your looks less wide and more pinched than the Anovos earlier on this page. Or are my eyes messing with me????? That does happen.

Well, acetone and a little re-weathering did the trick. Before and after photos attached. Acetone does start to eat the chrome, so you have to be SUPER careful. Much happier with the look now.
What black paint did you useYes, it will come off – but it is very risky. I was willing to risk it because I knew I could fix it worst-case scenario, and I'm not selling the helmet.
But there are no guarantees it wont pull off the chrome, even if you're quick. Also, the acetone will start to cloud the chrome before it comes off, so that changes the look. Use your best judgement, and proceed at your own risk.
That's my helmet. I've attached a picture from a slightly different angle, and some screen shots from the series, and it looks similar. For sure they used different helmets throughout the series, so who knows which helmet Anovos actually scanned.View attachment 1248366View attachment 1248367View attachment 1248369
What is your overall opinion of the Anovos helmet?Seems a bit much, but I wonder if the original is like that and the lighting on the set makes it look less obvious.

back on December 23rd. They shipped it on January 6th.When did you pay your invoice?
it's basically the same as the other Anovos's fiberglass helmets (I don't know if you have handled any of their helmets). Construction seems pretty good. It has 2 different lens, one attached to the fiberglass under the liner (kinda purplelish color) and a second one (smoke) velcro'ed to the liner and it's removable. The color is actually darker in person than what is looks in the pictures. The weathering, depending on the lighting, looks a bit too much, sometimes it looks fine, it's kinda hard to explain. It is smaller than the boba fett helmet and the shape it's completely different, so for those people making the mandalorian helmet based on the boba fett helmet are inaccurate. the shape is kinda oval if you look at it from the top. I'm please with it. I would like to see how it compares to the eFx one. What is your overall opinion of the Anovos helmet?
Would this work for you?Would love to see a picture of someone wearing the mandalorian helmet. I wanna see how slim fitting it is.

Glad it worked out for you. I wonder why on the helmet I had acetone wouldnt eat the chrome when I was Trying to strip it? New batch of helmets, new formulas maybe.
The Anovos Visor is off for sure. Here are some screen shots where the visor is wider. I am guessing stunt helmets.
