It is accurate and all the Anovos helmets have been that way from the very beginning.
It has been discussed on a lot of other places and is just permanent marker over the chrome. Acetone and thinner should take it off no problem then you can just use black paint to be more accurate.
Your's is pretty bad as far as being sloppy but the permanent marker is nothing new. Mine that just arrived actually has it applied pretty good so I am not touching it.
Right, the paint / marker is in the right spots, but mine is just ugly and inaccurate in its application. Mind sharing a photo of yours? No worries if not – just curious what someone else's looks like when it's correct out-of-the-box. Out of all the research I've done seeing other ANOVOS Kylo helmets, mine seems to be one of the worst looking I've found. Lucky me!
