ANOVOS issues (ANOVOS ONLY discussion)

What are you hoping is the outcome? If Anovos is driven out of business, doesn't that screw the people who have not received their products?

My hope? I gave up on hope a ways back. But I would like Anovos to be terrified of NOT fulfilling all orders now/ yesterday. As long as we all get everything I dont care what happens to them after that. Perhaps the lawsuit is helping to light a fire somewhere.

But would you pull back on the lawsuit?! That doesnt make sense.
 
Well after three years my Solo jacket is here. It looks great, but it doesn’t fit. :(. So now what? Grrr.

I am right smack in the middle of their sizing for this jacket and it could not fit me better, but then so far most of their stuff has with the exception of the first Picard jacket. If you need measurements to compare with, drop me a PM.

Some seem to be looking at the lawsuit more as revenge to take down Anovos, not to somehow get Anovos to fulfill the orders. Unfortunately Anovos is in a huge hole of backorders. Even if things were running smoothly, it will take quite a while to get caught up. It appears they are attempting to make changes such as moving some production to the US so they can have more direct control. The lawsuit may have prompted some of the changes. I'm not sure what the outcome will be if Anovos loses the lawsuit or what it is asking for. If it results in Anovos needing to declare bankruptcy because they can't meet the judgement, that could be bad for many of us that made preorders. Anovos does not have resources like Disney has. I'm not sure Disney would do much if Anovos gets in too much financial difficulty.

What is the hoped for result of Anovos losing the lawsuit? Refunds for those in the lawsuit? Punitive fines? I don't see any way losing a lawsuit could force a company to produce products.

Has anyone received an invoice for the Mandalorian helmet since Jan 1? I'm not sure how frequently they are sending out invoices.

Oh, you're totally right. But if I had my druthers I'd have them ship everything owed to everyone with only enough sleep and food to keep going, then send all of our money back too, and then submit themselves to experimental surgery toward the advancement of science.

I didn't say that what I was hoping for had any legal foundation lol!!!!

After 3+ years you finally receive your item, which doesn’t fit right but you have no way of exchanging it for the right size. So now you are forced to hang it up and dream of what could’ve been, or sell it and try to find a better size from another disappointed customer....I hope my Andor jacket fits.

Totally. The only thing I can think of is to take your garment to someone who can duplicate it to your measurements, bespoke. And then sell your Anovos version to help pay for that. I did this a couple times here and there over the years.

but jeez.
 
I’m not an “off the rack” person either. I had to have my ESB ANOVOS Solo outfit tailored. It can be done. Just takes a bit of time and a good tailor.
 
Well I received an email from them that the Kylo ren helmet is back in stock. Is it worth the $700 price tag or are there others just as accurate or more accurate for less.
 
Long time lurker here, and I thought I’d chime in with my experience.

11/29/2016 - Placed order for First Order Stormtrooper kit. Subject to all the same delays and excuses that everyone else has detailed. No new update.

05/27/2018 - Placed order for Kylo Ren Premier Helmet. Originally, it was supposed to ship within a couple months of ordering, but it was repeatedly pushed back. Last week, I received notice that it was ready to ship and it FINALLY arrived yesterday. It is beautiful, and I’m super happy with it.

That said, the process has been a nightmare. As others have noted, Anovos customer service went radio silent towards the back half of last year. Prior to that, I could at least send an email inquiry and get someone’s half-hearted reassurance that things were moving along. Every e-mail I sent Q4 2019 went unanswered. In seeing how others have done it, I was actually compiling the full history of events in order to contact my credit card company when I received notice of the Kylo helmet being ready. Funny timing. As it stands, I won’t be preordering anything else unless they completely turn things around, but with one item received I’m gonna hold out hope a little longer for the FOTK kit. I’ve been waiting three years, so what’s a little longer? :rolleyes:

I received that email as well lol. Im sure we all did. From what I have heard its a nice helmet. However I would be hesitant to give them any of my money as I have heard horror stories on "in stock items" and delays. GC
 
Here's the Kylo helmet at Galaxy's Edge. It's pretty detailed. Not sure what the Black Series looks like though.

You might try contacting them. I'd guess a number of people have canceled their orders after waiting so long so they may have some surplus sizes available. That's if they respond...
