Another Prop Room / Shrine - Recent pics August

Re: Another Prop Shrine - BSG Intercom Add

All the pics are incredible but the first one really pushed my buttons.:cool

Re: Another Prop Shrine - BSG Intercom Add

A couple of pics I took this week. Several changes recently.

Yeah - the large workstation is a bit out of place but its huge and few places to put it. I plan to add a SciFi feel - possibly with a Stargate "ancient" feel? I dry brushed it a bit but you cant tell in these pics.

That is a great room and I'm proud to have a little bit of my work in it.

I can only hope our room is 1/10th as awesome as yours :)

Re: Another Prop Shrine - Recent pics March 16th

WOW, I love this room man ! I really love how all of your displays are so inviting, not bland "museum" displays as others have said. You have really inspired me to go work on my spare room sir !

Awesome collection room! Love your helmet shelf.

God I love your collection!!! All the pretty lights. :)

Re: Another Prop Shrine - Recent pics March 16th

Thanks guys. Yep, I'm all about the lighting but fighting very hard not to get too busy. I'll probably lose the battle this year.

Very cool collection. What's the emoticon for envy?

Now that's funny. Until now I didn't even know this equipment was a sought after prop. Never was a big BSG fan.
I worked on these for years in the U.S. Navy as an Interior Communications Electrician (IC). That face plate was replicated off a 386 but you probably already know that. The slang term for them in the Navy was "bitchbox". That...you probably didn't know.

I don't know if you care or not but the far left push bar should read, "PRESS TO RE- LEASE" (all caps) above it. And the "RE-" should be above the word "LEASE". I always thought that was weird. Also, the push pegs should be raised about a half of an inch if you can. I would leave the far left one down lower about a quarter of an inch. That's how they usually looked while on the wall. If you wanted to call stations, you would press the pegs down for all the stations you wanted to talk to....hit the press to talk lever...talk right into the speaker (unless you had a hand set attached (lower left) and then press the far left (Press to Re- Lease) peg to clear it before walking away.
Anyway, very cool to see one here.

Do I spy a Chelsea ship's clock on the wall?

Here's mine, from the late 1960s, prior to mounting on my wall.
