Animatronics tutorial- DONE!

Why is the wiring spaced out as it is with bread boards and how do we know what goes where? And I assume push buttons can be soldered to longer wires and don't have to be implanted into the board? I have zero electronics experience and your tutorial is helpful but I'm still a bit cloudy about some things. If I pmed you a list of parts I have and what in trying to do could you give me some pointers and even a shopping list in case I'm missing something?

The wiring in the breadboard diagrams is done that way so you can see all the connections- the breadboard diagram also shows how each component is wired into the circuit. A breadboard is simply a method of prototyping a circuit so it isn't meant to be permanent. The idea is that once you have your circuit working you remove the parts from the board and then solder them into a permanent circuit.

I'd be happy to give you any pointers and help you with your project- just PM me and I'll see what I can do. :)
