Oh well, I decided to make this its own thread as well, even though I posted most of it in the Facebook group already.
Please feel free to add any information, "secrets", stuff you noticed or any other tidbit here as well! I love any info that can make future builds more accurate! :)

Sure, everyone knows they used the “THE HANSEN MFG. CO.” at the rear of the M240 flamethrower, right?
But was it the “4-HK” or “4HK” version? I got one of each!

Well, design-wise, they are absolutely identical. But look at the second image, which is the Propstore “stunt” flamer. It had the “4-HK” version (with hyphen), and I know of at least one “hero” flamer with the “4-HK” coupling as well.

But are those all the secrets there are? Who knows. Stay tuned for the next episode of “asking lots of questions without having a clue, M240 edition”. :D

Cheers!

Here’s another Hansen mystery:

It is generally accepted that the incinerator had a brass Hansen 4-HK coupling. But look what I got: a stainless steel one!

When looking at reference images, it is true that several incinerators had a brass version, especially both of the “broken handle” ones. However, it is hard to tell if the Hansen on the Propstore “Hero” incinerator was in fact brass or not much rather silver.

Also, on the incinerator that was auctioned off a few years back, which was described as the “Hero” version used in the egg chamber scene, the Hansen is silver (see the second image)!

Of note is that the stainless steel version is slightly (20 grams) lighter than the brass version.

Cheers!
