I got them on the bay. They were marked down for a day so I jumped on them.

Finally...An Update!
I am running a lot of fiber optic strands so progress is very slow.
The first photo shows the upper bridges. It is a photo taken over the weekend. Currently one side is almost finished. This side that is almost done has about 400 windows!
Think of it like threading a needle for each and every one:wacko
For a change of pace:
The second photo shows what I worked on today. The four thruster engines are installed and the hanger bay lighting is all finished. The two on off switches are installed. One is for the spotlights and one is for the engines.

The power coupler is installed into a trench piece.
The three main engines are almost ready for install (with lighting).
I can see the finish line for this kit. Hopefully it will not be long now.

I am working on getting the trenches as straight as I can. I am approaching this differently as I want it better than the first kit that I built (dlbsyst).
Overall it is looking great and I can't wait to show you the update on Sunday.

Can't wait to see it but no rush brother, I'm leaving town until the 25th and I don't expect to be online much.
BTW: I think I'm ditching the base idea and mounting to the wall using the armature.

Overall, I really just want to get some time for myself. All of my vacation time, sick time, personal time, etc was used last year for her cancer treatments. I really just want to relax. The really nice thing is that working on models does just that for me.

I would have a lot more done but the wife wanted new steps put on the front of the house. It is finished now. (The attached photo shows it almost complete.)

There are a lot of windows here. The upper decks have more windows then dlbsyst kit had total. :confused

That is quite a bit of fiber optic.... Looks like a great build I have been tempted to try to find some anigrad stuff recently . Cant wait to see pictures of it lit.

It is about time for an update I think.
I have been a little sidetracked for a bit hence the little delay in building these kits. I am back on track and expect fusenovas kit to be done soon.
There are about 200-300 more fiber optics to run on the bottom hull (will be done today).
The upper hull has about 100-200 fibers to do as well.
Wire up the led's in both hulls and then glue the hulls together.

It is a lot of fiber optic. I have found that running the fibers is really very time comsuming but looks fantastic when done.
Look no further than my friend Will (trekkerman214). He has a few of the kits up on the bay. They are original cast kits from Anigrand. I am not sure how many he has left as he will not tell me. I do know that the kit that I got from him just recently is a very cleanly cast kit.

How are you attaching the inner frame to the kit? Epoxy?

The inner frame comes molded on to the hull. No attachment necessary.

The metal frame is wired (tied) in place. Epoxy will also be used to assist in keeping it in place and to make it stronger.

Yeah, that's what I was wondering, since there's no good way to put screws through it.
