ANH Luke and Vader Saber Questions

ok, in this photo, Roy has the cut set at 30 or 60 which ever way you look at it. Combined they make a 90 degree angle shown in bold. Do i need to make my mark from the very bottom of the T track or the bottom of the vertical, where the vertical meets the horizontal part.

A 60 degree angle is a 60 degree angle no matter where you start right? Whether i begin from the bottom of the T track or on top of the horizontal. It would just sit further back. Roy's pic actually makes it seem like you mark your cut on top of the horizontal rather than on the bottom of it.

kevin (i hope you don't mind me borrowing your photos :) )

I don't think you're giving this photo of yours enough credit. It is 100% correct according to Roy's schematic (assuming you only cut the vertical) Cutting it at 60 degrees cuts off 30 degrees, which is what Roy shows.

This cut photo of yours in 100% wrong according to Roy's schematic.

The only debate should be where you make your mark to get the 60 degree angle.
thd9791 says you mark it from the very bottom of the track.
Roy's schematic shows you make your mark where the vertical meets the horizontal of the T
After all this posting i'm still not sure where you stand on this

Can others chime in on this too?
