ANH Jawa Stunt ION Blaster & Alternate Blaster / Tool RESEARCH THREAD

Thanks Chris now I am sure I see the Graflex Clamp with the Side Bar removed so we are seeing the same Stunt ION Blaster with 2x Graflite Clamps below the Graflex Clamp which means there is ONLY one Stunt ION Blaster and the 2x Graflite Brackets are hidden when seen on the Boss Jawa.

What do others think?

Halliwax Danny more V2 Clamp images but still cant see the lever.

Catching up in this thread today. Damn it! So freak’n close! Eeerrr.. if we could only see that lever! Lol

Just out of interest, are we going with 3 cell graflite as opposed to 2 because its used for the holiday saber and how high the Jawa one sits in the pouch / holster? Or, are there other telltale signs?

I went with the 3-Cell because of the length of the Jawa Blaster Holsters and the amount of Flash you can see in the Screen Caps.

I cant help but think that I am seeing on the side of the Backpack a Wild Barfield Furnace Lens that were used on the Detention Center Security Blasters, the angle of the flipped Detention Blaster is slightly different, but gee they look very similar?

Please tell me I have not made this prop even harder to accurately replicate lol!!

Looking further at the Lamp/Lens greeblie is it possible that part of cloth is obscuring the profile and making the Lamp/Lens look flatter?

I think what we see on the right side of the backpack is a possible metal reflection as we have good Screen Caps of this side and there is no Lamp/Lens.

Is it just the strap getting hooked up on a fold of material - strap follows line on right, caught by fold at arrow left.

It's just so easy to misinterpret slightly blurry photo's. I've caught myself dozens of times on RPF already, & just stopped myself in time from posting. I've see plenty of other post too where people have posted a feature 'x' only to correct themselves 2 posts later. It is a problem if a thread reader only catches the 1st erroneous post & misses the correction.

Nothing you can do about it of course except try your hardest to be vigilant. In this instance we could be looking at anything - the cross reference has my leanings toward mirage caused by that belt.

EDIT; Here you go I think the arrow for the cross ref. is pointing to the wrong side for us & the side we want is hidden - check the position of the grey connector sticking out the case & the round grill is in the same orientation in both shots so the side of interest is at the back of this Jawa & therefore out of view in the ref shot. Oh boy!

Thanks to Chris teecrooz who lightened up another 3x early sequence Screen Caps, we can see the left side of the Power Pack (Watchman's Clock) as the Jawa has it slung in front of him in this early sequence, as such I am now confident there is NO Lamp/Lens, there is a lighter area which may or may not be metal which caused the distorted illusion of a Lamp/Lens silhouette.

Hey, I think we are seing the lower connector turned 90 degree counterclockwise, it's the flat spot that we see in the front of the snapshot, if that makes sense. But for me they are indeed correct, you had me worried this morning when I saw that and I had to check the picture of the one I bought ;)

Yes correct that is what I was thinking (y)

I am confident we now have the connectors finalized (y)

Now for the Cable, discussions with Markus OdiWan72 we are thinking the cable looks like a Grey-ish Coated Cable and not a Braided Cable as you can see hard jagged cuts and not soft frayed material near the Screw-on Cap on the Connector to the Case.

If this is correct, I am wondering if this is why the Cable pulled out of the Case Connector as the Screw-on Cap was designed for Braided Cable.

A frame from after the highly accurate stormtrooper ambush, with a few possible wire types and some of the plugs. It does look like a 2 core power lead for things like a portable radio/tape player - the dark line running down the centre being where the weathering grime sticks to a slight dip between the cores on the outer cover. I think the lead is sort of flat, as apposed to a rounded 3 core lead or typical round braided cover.

It's funny how we can imagine things, when I saw the picture that the Ninja posted just above, I thought the cables were transparent tubes. 2 core leads makes sense I guess... :)

Transparent tubes also makes sense as there are a few on that droid with all the limbs in the line-up lol. Good thing with all these props and a tight budget is that 9 times out of 10 the parts turn up somewhere else. Still looking at the wires though to be sure. Where the cover has pulled away from the upper plug, the 2 wires inside appear to be brown and white - or perhaps yellow.

Thanks to Chris teecrooz who sharpened & lightened these Screen Cap the 2x core can be clearly seen.
