Re: ANH Hero DL-44 Discussion
I think the arrow profile may have been just to illustrate the draft on the part to allow it to be ejected from the mold.
The Merr Sonn part is split in half presumably along the parting line so we see no flash.
On the HERO we can see 3/4 of the grill in many shots. Has anyone seen any parting line flash evidence? Sure it was cleaned up fairly well. just wondering if anyone else has seen any.
If after all these years no one has presented any better photos, and I think Lonepigeon has said none exist, we are out of luck!
This is the best evidence we have to work with and have to make the best assessments, conclusions and educated logical estimates we can based on what we have available or we will be waiting a long long time for parts.
I personally think we will be very happy with the final model from Deadbolt. It will be as "screen accurate" as possible and much much better than previous attempts due to these new discoveries. The look and size and scale will match the HERO as close as humanly possible.
Even another C96 would not be exactly the same as the HERO so there has to be some allowance for insignificant minute details... I think.
