It’s also looks like it doesn’t come out the front?

You have the scope circled here but u mean the dimple behind it correct?

After brainstorming for a bit, I decided to turn my FM Elite scope on the ghetto lathe for a while!

I had actually torch blued the entire scope beforehand (quick note; if you are cold bluing steel, I have found that torch bluing the steel to a consistent blue color beforehand helps produce a more even, deep hue once the Birchwood Casey product is applied. It gives the cold bluing a bit of 'depth' that helps make it look stronger, in a way).

But the prior surface torch discoloring also helped bring out the minor uneven spots too, which helped me in the sanding. FM's scope had a couple minor surface quirks that I mostly managed to fix this way, though you can still make out one or two of them if you squint.

So now I've gotten the scope body to a smooth 600 grit finish! Hopefully this will help the final bluing process out.

Due to these new scallops, I went back and checked the Pawn Stars blaster and sure enough... it's missing material on the bottom. Look at this squashed profile. Thinking if the story ToddsCostumes was kind enough to pass along

The HERO has a slight undercut. RED
The PS actually starts lower, has a step connecting the verticals and tapers to the tube. GREEN

Too many differences to be the HERO cradle IMO.

Also check this out. Did he recut these parts as well? Highly doubt it. Why would he?? I noticed it when I was designing this part on my mount. They are not the same.. ?

Sorry I thought that picture said everything it needed. My bad. The cuts on the bottom part of each cradle.. the top cradle is from the actual hero. The bottom cradle is PS. Look at the cuts. They are different..

Not sure what you're trying to indicate with those lines.
I just figured out what the lines were. They are the cut bottom screw ear edge angles...

Correct. The whole bottom is wrong. Center squarcle is the wrong shape and too low. No undercut above the opening. Tapered ends. Wonky upright. No dovetail...

I thought the lines were pointing to something...

Pretty much.

It's where the mill cutter running up the outside profile makes the radius at the top of the verticals and "accidently" touches the scope tube body.

But, the bottom of the mount is not rounded. Only the bullnose roundover and rounded edges make it look that way.

Any wonkyness is due to angle and depth.
