ANH Escape Pod

There is something else in there.. i think its a hub to one of the indy cars I'll find it and let you know. The heat sink actualy sits inside it which in turn sits inside the LEM shroud and Saturn V rocket engine combo.

Well this is true, I just thought it was meant all the way inside the nozzle. each nozzle actually consists of 5 parts which include the heat sink.

Anyone got a pic? Ill take a look, for you, if its a race car rim, thats right up my alley....that would be an F1 car Steve...callling it Indy car is like chalk to cheese!

Well, going on the fact i have no pics of this area, cept the tiny Chronicles pic, there is a secondary cone inside the thruster, going by its profile....on a limb id say the Tamiya M23, slim chance of the 312t, but more possible to be the Mc'laren!

Ok looks like the wheel hub is in there to....thanks ralphee and steve, and rolondo for the info

Looks roughly like this:

I used pvc tubing to get the "wheel rim" look... but yes, it makes sense that it's from a wheel. Maybe the AMT Titan or C-600? There are very similar parts to what I did with the pvc.

Hmm, it seems to "cone" Jason, then level out, with a fine rib, havent got a LEM cone here to try damnit lol..always the way!

I havent got the M23 Rambo...but the 312t is close, its more a decent ILM shot od the pods inner cone, from there im sure we can nail it for Rolando, id love to see him re release this someday under his own blanket, that would bring a smile to my face!

Of course, its a shame his current kit is so innaccurate...what were you playing at Ro' :lol

What I used for the patterns was a cut down 35mm film canister for each nozzle. It had the right diameter and the lip on it looked close enough.
