Andor Found Background Items and props.

Tried to ID it without luck.
Semi related but I just noticed the TV Light Gun used for the Corpo Blaster seems to be based on the BS Buffalo SS Airsoft gun from Japan.

The top gun is a lightgun for video games. It had a a light that only a sensor could pick up. I had one as a kid before SW.

As you can see from the example pictured: the Buffalo shot a plastic pellet, not a round airsoft ball.

I happened to be poking at Cassian's flask images today, screen capping the scene to see if I could make out just what they did with it.

I did a quick-and-dirty Photoshop mockup, so in case it's helpful to anyone, I'll share the layout here, along with my screencaps. Hope this thread is an ok place to plop this. I wasn't sure it really warranted a separate post.

The design and shapes are super simple, it turns out, so it shouldn't be hard to work something into a mask if anyone wants to paint their Stanley flasks up to match. (which is my plan... I'll work these up on my Cricut and use them to mask while I paint). There's one side that is never seen, but given the design, it seems pretty logical that is follows the same pattern all the way around, so I'm not worrying about that.

I suppose as a disclaimer, I should point out that it's possible there is some design element lower on the side that has 2 dots. We don't have a clear view of that side, since Luthen's hand is in the way the whole time. The single dot side seems clean, though, other that what I have shown, since we get a decent look at that side (out of focus, but clearly plain and free of extra graphics).

Three colors will be needed, some sort of moderately dark green/olive for the the majority of the body (a little darker, I think, than my PS version below), looks like perhaps a satin black for the top parts (it's shinier than the rest), and a gray, I think, for the circles. I initially thought those circles just let the body color through, but looking closer it seems clear they're lighter than the rest of the body.

(I searched high and low for a good side pic of the flask, and only found the one, so the "other" side view is repeated there... just a warning for someone to keep that in mind and don't take that photo TOO literally. Also I suppose it's not actually Cassian's flask, it's Luthen's, just to be pendatic at myself LOL)

Thanks for doing this!

Hello, I created an account just to share this prop I found. I found a neat prop from the final scene in Andor S1E6 “The Eye” at 46:00. The clutch purse that the lady in Luthen’s shop is holding can be found on @mazon for $26 USD.

I don’t know if I can directly link items here, so you can find it by searching “Women Lattice Pattern Metal Handbag”

This thread is amazing by the way! Awesome finds everyone!

You sure know how to make an entrance. Welcome aboard.

Nothing to report from today episode yet, but have a lead from last week one:
the welding gun Cassian's crew is using to assemble that Imp thing looks like a stud welding gun. Still looking for the proper brand and model.
I know this is drudging up an old post, but I saw this pic posted yesterday, and something looked familiar about the laser tool.

I thought... Is that Mace Windu's lightsaber with the parts assembled in a different order, the grips removed, and a handle added???

Anyone ever find better pics of this?

... or the one that she is using?

This is a bit of an odd one, but from the twisted design on this cup (more obvious in the 4k copy), it seems to be the same as this stainless steel Andor 'bottle' that used to be sold on the Disney Store (I own 2 of them), only this one is painted black.

It seems unlikely that an Andor-branded item would have been manufactured before the show itself was filmed, so I can only assume these are customised variants of an existing product. Maybe someone can find out who manufactures blank, or better yet, black, versions.

2023, the Daily Mail has snapped some behind-the-scenes photos of filming for Andor season 2 in North London at the Barbican Centre.

The actor is wearing the liner of the Parka (flecktarn) from the German Army (Bundeswehr)...

I wondered if they'd use The Barbican, it's a mid century wonder!
I love the Brutalist design and those orange lifts are to die for...
Slow horses filmed there too especially the Laundrette scenes.

It looks like a Rubbermaid food dish lid with a speaker frame on the front.
I agree, sealing rubber lid embedded in a car stereo speaker frame. The lid could be any cloudy/clear 3/32" thick rubber food container but you get the idea. The stereo speaker is specifically the one that has the floating tweeter, hovering over the main speaker, where the slicer is currently held. drusselmeyer is spot on. I'm sure the universe has other items like this but this works.
