The trapezoidal part behind the gun is a mounting point cover, right?
Is it possible the replaced parts is simply the bottom cover being swapped out with the top one, and it was detailed differently?

Okay so I'm trying to ID this part that was on the Falcon but has since fallen off. This is the only shot I have of it. I'm thinking that these two Kettenkrad pieces, sanded down would match. The Kettenkrad was used in this area so it's possible. Thoughts?

While you’re at this map: part D42 from kit 146, Tamiya 1/12 Honda F-1 (RA 273) is hiding a bit in the shadow without a number
